Hey Stephen and Mal, Sorry for sending in such a late comment, but I figured this would be the best place to get y'all to see my message. For some reason, I thought about Mark today, and I feel like it's been a while since we've heard anything about him in the patreon videos. I assume that no news to share = good news, but I just wanted y'all to know that he's been on my mind.

Been pretty busy, but I've kept a mental note in the back of my mind to comment on this month's video -- it's my anniversary of being a patron, but my first comment! I'm one of those viewers that found you guys while I was middle school and is now halfway through college! I'm in my uni's Filipino-cultural organization, and on E-Board for "Internal PR," which basically comes down to graphic design. Since this whole year was online, that position kind of broadened up to "general media guy" and adapting certain events to an online format. Because of that, my April was insanely busy with extracurriculars (and the end of my 3rd-year Pharmacy classes) but I held an online E-Sports tournament on Twitch (and had to learn how to use Twitch/an OBS software for the first time) AND adapt our annual, big Spring event to an over 2-hour YouTube production as the sole video editor and spending 30 hours straight to get it down and polished. Between that and working at CVS as a Pharmacy Intern and experiencing how upsetting health insurance tends to be for so many patients, I feel a little bit closer to understanding you guys and what certain things must feel like. I'm done with finals and a week into getting my health/fitness back on track, and top of the list for me is sleep -- I hope you guys are resting well by now, and that everything goes well for Mal very, very soon! One year as a patron in, and hopefully many more to stay looking forward to!

Fortunately no news is good news! Mark gets tested every once in a while (might still be annually?) and there's still been no progression, thankfully. Right now we're hoping to line up a good few days in the summer when Mark and Rhonda are in Florida so we can go see them, since Mal hasn't seen her dad in such a long time now. But at least from a health standpoint, he's doing well :)

Thank you for the year of patronage! And certainly "better late than never" on commenting — lots of patrons comment rarely as well, so it's not terribly unusual. I'm glad that you've been getting things back on track, but wow, that sounds like you had a crazy month! 30 hours straight would be taxing no matter what, but doubly so when you've been thrown into some unfamiliar territory, too. That said, "general media guy" has huge advantages in today's world, so all of those skills will be super invaluable as time goes on. Hope you're doing better now! We're only finally starting to recover sleep, but it's getting there. Thank you again for your support, Kenneth!
