A message to all my patreons! (Patreon)

Hey awesome peeps! 🌟

First of all, I want to say a huge thank you for your ongoing support. It truly means the world to me that you value my work enough to contribute monthly for my exclusive content.

I wanted to chat with you about something that's been on my mind lately. As you know, I've been taking on a lot of commissions, and while that's been great for keeping the lights on, it's also been limiting the amount of time and energy I can dedicate to creating other content that I'm personally passionate about.

So, I've been thinking about shifting my goals a bit. My hope is to rely more on Patreon and your amazing support, so I can focus on creating content that excites both me and you. To make that happen, I'm considering adding a new, higher-tier option to help me earn more from Patreon.

Right now I have an idea to add a “Choose Your Adventure” type tier that would probably be 15 dollars. It would basically add access to a new comic where subscribers of this tier would vote on polls to choose what happens next in each page. Once the comic is complete, it would be free to this tier at the same time, I will post it as a paid downloadable pdf on my store.

And currently I make about half of my revenue from commissions, and the other half from patreon. I feel like doubling my patreon revenue is a bit of a stretch. It would have to take a long time. So another idea I have is making a “commission slot” tier so that some people are guaranteed a slot every month for people who are interested in that.

But I want this to be a collaborative process! I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions on what you'd like to see in a higher pay tier. Are there any specific benefits, rewards, or perks that you'd be interested in? I'm all ears and eager to make this new tier as enticing and valuable as possible.

I think a small commission tier would probably make sense so u can keep that money coming in but not get too bogged down on doing like 50 comms a month. Maybe higher tier for things like animations too?

The choose your own adventure tier sounds like a really fun idea! I would definitely give it a shot if you added a higher tier like that.

The way that I see it, your lowest tier should be for viewership only. Above this should come access to polls, followed by commissioning images, followed by commissioning comics, followed by commissioning animations, followed by an exclusive membership tier for anything more ambitious than that. Gradation between pay tiers should not be too high, so as to encourage continuing subscription — nor should it be too low, so as to avoid overloading your work schedule. At any time that you feel burnt out or worry about overwork, you should also reserve the right to have a time block for strictly personal projects.

Think that'l be up to Lol. Might not seem like much but people's feelings on things vary. I could be wrong but it sounds like doing the same thing but under a different name. Meaning just as much work if not more. I dont want Lolotron becoming a braindead art factory like ********* (slander censored)

If it’s doable for you, I’d love a tier devoted to animation projects in particular. I’ve seen so many different animations from lots of artists, but nothing has ever come close to being as good as the animations I’ve seen from you. I know that animations are a much bigger process and take a lot more time and effort than drawings and stuff, but your animations are so goddamn incredible I don’t care how long I’d have to wait. Hell, if you needed an entire year to finish just one good animation, it’d still be worth the time and money for me.
