I have to start again making news about progression regularly!
Today I'm talking about 3D stuff.
In long term, I wish to be able to mix 3D and 2D drawings perfectly, it could let me work even faster and makes it easier for me.
Environments are already 3D but I feel like I could go further than this, not only because I could go faster but also because I like manipulating 3D stuff.
In long term, in my future creations I wish to create more 3D things myself, for example a weapon, an accessory, an armor, a jewel etc... And then make something more custom and unique.
I also noticed something a bit annoying: When I write scenes, I tend to avoid making characters move because I have to "show" it, but draw something that would show up for 2 sentences is a bit too much of energy...
So, I worked on color shading stuff on 3D body models, you've got a result above. I think we can see it's 3D but it's still cool, what do you think?
This could let me put some images to show simple actions without having to draw it!
More than simple actions I could use this on image where there is no details or where the character isn't the focus:
Example 1: When you make videos with Sarena about self defense and when she moves fast (Like, blurred by speed)
Example 2: Hands shots, or other body part when someone do something (no face)
Example 3: You talk to someone or do something, but we can see other girls in the background (Like, blurred)
This is only thoughts, I started to try it on this upcoming update.
I did this hand shot and also a shot with the face, however I don't like the face render (I still have to draw over it to give her hair and clothes and fix 3D a bit), I keep the face shot, as it is already done, but I don't think I'm gonna do that again on faces that are shown as the first plan.
In the future I would also like to learn how to 3D sculpt so I could sculpt their clothes and hair, so it would make it even easier to put it as side elements and I would only draw the main focus.
Not just to make it easier, it would also help me to create my own reference, like I actually still struggle to draw their hair on some complex angles haha, having it in 3D would be a good help (Not as a render but as a drawing reference).
I won't do that from 0% to 100% instantly, I will work on that little by little and listening to people's feedback ^^
Just consider that:
1: I like manipulating 3D stuff
2: I would love to do everything in 2D drawings but I've limited skills ^^'
Concerning the upcoming 0.2.2 update, I won't give any date at all, I did that in the past and regretted it many time. All I can say is it's during November, I'm trying to finish it around the 3rd week of the month, but I don't give you any guarantee.
