I've redesigned the Personal Restraint System!

The major reason for the redesign is to make it function better within Blender and to make it much more poseable than it was before, so that I wouldn't have to manually reposition the harness straps for every pose.

I also have changed the look of the fabric part of the system (the straitjacket part) to be closer to what I had envisioned before.  And again, to work better with Blender.  Before, for every pose I would have to run a cloth simulation where the arms fold up and come together into straitjacket pose.. and this is WITHOUT the model intersecting with itself.  This was time consuming and a pain in the ass, so I decided I would just directly model in the wrinkles and folds.

The physical changes to the PRS include:  Changing the cut of the briefs to be much higher, as well as raising the waist strap to be further clear to avoid collisions while diapering.  I also removed some straps in back, making the shoulder straps come together to one point.  This reduces the number of moving parts and looks better IMO.

So here we have Krayne showing it off, rendered two ways.

The first one, on the left, is just the basic render using a principled BSDF shader, and was quick enough to set up.

The second one, on the right, is rendered using a custom Toon shader I made that separates the different levels of shading and gives me fine controll over how large or small the contours are.  It also uses a Grease Pencil scene lineart over it to give it the outline that most of my art has always had.  This is a bit more work to set up and a LOT more computing time to render the outlines.

But I'm really not sure.  Does the normal render look better?  Is the extra work and computing time worth it for the more stylized look?

This was animated using keyframes, IK and shape keys.  The redesign took about a week, and the animation took about another 2 weeks.  Blender's IK is really twitchy, especially when mixing with other animations in the NLA editor.  I don't think I'll animate like this again with individual keyframes for every bone.  I'll have to find out another control scheme or IK setup.

YCH featuring this outfit comming soon!  But first, I need to work on the diaper.  Not super happy with the look OR the functionality/reusability.

Attached are the two render versions on their own

PRS2ComparisonDouble

The one on the left is normal Eevee render with principled BSDF. The one on the right is EV with custom toon shader and Grease Pencil lineart. Which looks best?
