A.R.C. Progress 18: PRS Straitjacket (Patreon)

After weeks of doing cloth simulations and poking around, its finally done!  The full Personal Restraint System with sleeves and all!

 The full PRS combo: Harness, leotard and sleeves shown here in 3 different ways: Open T-pose, closed loose and closed tight.  Modeled by Krayne himself, because the wax human models just weren't sexy enough!

Shown here in White Zone white, this is the default look.  I darkened Krayne's skin a bit for better contrast

Nice and loose for the good boys, there's almost enough room to actually use your arms for something!  For the bad ones, the sleeves are zipped up so tight that your shoulders will hurt if you try and struggle at all!  Best of all, no chance of elbow-jabs!

This was a challenge I tell ya.  Modeling the sleeves didn't take long at all, but setting up the animation and cloth sim was a slow, trial and error process.  I would animate the arms going into straitjacket position then calculate the sim around that animation, but almost every time something went wrong or it didn't look the way I wanted.

Then it worked, so I was finally able to calculate a good sim at a fairly high poly resolution.  Then I must have wanted to punish myself because afterwards I did yet another sim, this time with the jacket sleeves at maximum tightness.  

Each test sim would take five minute and the final sims would take up to half an hour, and the final renders were an hour and a half for each pose.

Aw crap and now that I look at it there's something missing! The big ARC logo on the back!!  GRR!!  Well, i'm not going to re-render the animation but I will do back-view single-frame renders once I add the logo in.
