Dad Maji makes a cameo <3 And we find out the reason why Mosi isn't approaching his mother. Sadly, the elephant's words aren't very comforting :(

I dont understand this terrible elephant. It should have died a while ago. Even Giza realised that change is possible.

Such a beautiful page! I love how the colors and framing really lends to how otherworldly the encounter feels. As if they're in limbo, just like the first time we got to see it with Africa. As for the elephant's advice; despite the blunt and uncomforting tone to them I'm of the opinion that it might be exactly what Mosi needs to hear. The elephant isn't exactly wrong IMO: a wish is exactly that. A wish. A goal, however, is far more tangible, and Mosi is sure to have them even if he might not know what all of them are yet. I'm under the impression that the elephant is basically saying "figure out what YOU want, not what the world believes you should be. Trust yourself to reach and realize that want". Now, how Mosi applies the advice is the question. Will he cast out everything he was taught to be the leopard he chooses to be, instinct be damned? Or will he follow what he believes what a leopard should be? I love this comic so much. It's always a highlight of the week to read the next page! Excited to see where you take us from here! :)
