Why helloooo, and welcome back to a new monthly tutorial! Here is May's entry!

This tutorial was sponsored by kind supporter Bethany, and it's a slightly different format in which I talk about a specific animal! In this case, the hyena!

In this guide, I explain the hyena's anatomical features and what to keep in mind when drawing them, compare the anatomy to that of canines, and explore the various hyena species.

I loved working on this one! Hyenas are among my favorite animals and researching them was so fun!

I'm also super interested in bringing you more animal-centered tutorials if it's something you like seeing!

If you have a specific animal you'd like to see explored, feel free to suggest it in the upcoming Tutorial post!

Thank you so much for your support! :D

This tutorial is amazing! I have a question, if you're willing- what does a deep chest mean in the context of animal anatomy? Is it the height of the chest (from the base of the neck to the bottom), or is it how far back the ribcage goes along the torso?

Great tutorial, thanks!
