We also find out that Abasi and his herd of zebras are to go on a migration. This is a reference to the Great Serengeti Migration, in which every year thousands of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles move from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania, out toward the Masai Mara reserve, Kenya.

(What Abasi doesn't know is that all the wildebeest got hired to play a stampede scene in another movie).
