i love this album. It's super sad that it came out at the worst time possible (March 2020) and never got to reach its full potential. MY favorite is Dear Patience. I think it's brilliant that he personified patience. Also, you should definitely watch his performance of dear patience live at the royal albert hall. it was sooo good. also through that live concert, he raised 2M and donated it to tour crews all over Uk and Ireland during the pandemic.

The grit you talk abt actually surprises quite a few people. But Niall is a very versatile singer. I mean he has had a raspy voice since 2013 now, he was literally 'the one who has a raspy voice' in 1d. A lot of people don't know that cause he is known more for his ballads. If you listen to his collabs and even his own albums, he really fits into SO many different styles of music.
