In terms of other documentaries, I'd recommend you watch the other two official ones - Break the Silence and Bring the Soul! They also have 3 docuseries, each named after the 3 official movies, but I completely understand that those might be a little too time consuming for you (as each has 8 30-40 min episodes).

Carly Fitz

You made a very good choice in picking Burn the Stage first, its the first of three (so far) docs. It documented their Wings tour in 2017. I would recommend continuing on with the next in the series, Bring the Soul, which documents their Love Yourself Tour in the second half on 2018. The third one, Break the Silence, shows the Speak Yourself stadium tour extension in 2019. These docs can be found on Weverse, the streaming platform BigHit created a couple years ago. Also, each movie has an accompanying docuseries that has more footage, although I wouldn't expect you to find time to react to all of those, lol. But I'm glad you enjoyed this! It really does give a great intro to them as people and performers.

voidswan

I really want you to watch in the soop 😭

Fai

I think the best would be just to watch their official tour documentaries chronologically since you enjoyed this one so much. So the next one would be "Bring The Soul" from 2019, and after that "Break The Silence" from last year. All the movies also have companion documentary series with different content and interviews from the movies, but that would probably be a lot haha

Anna Herterich

Great reaction thank you for reacting to this documentary. BTS have done three different documentary series and movie the first one you watched there was burn the stage the movie, they also have burn the stage the series which is also available on YouTube originals and this goes more in dept to the wings tour with about 8 episodes. The carry on from this is bring the soul which follows the love yourself tour in 2018 this has a series and a movie which are both available on weverse. The most recent in break the silence which follows the 2019 love your self speak yourself stadium tour which has both the movie and series on weverse also. There is also some great fanmade documentaries on YouTube that really go in dept to there background from the beginning of their debut such as the rise of bangtan. Another YouTube channel I would recommend is Xceleste where she makes great videos about BTS which are a bit shorter but are really great to watch and give great insight into BTS and ARMY. Then BTS have there own reality shows if you wanted to see more of the goofy fun side to them and it really shows off their personalities such as Run BTS, Bon Voyage & In the Soop. I hope this helps you out a bit there is honestly so much content to choose from and it is all great.

Disha

Yeah I agree with everyone there official tour docs are a great source of info and structure...but I also remember you stating in your Butter reaction that you were really enjoying their personalities and such and in the previous part where u said u would want to see more of their group dynamics for that I think bon voyage is a great resource... it really was for me when I was just starting out....they go on vacation to a different country it all filmed and the crew film them but also mainly leave them alone in terms of managing all of their own things like tickets and travel and stuff so you just see the chaos that is them trying to figure things out.... Run BTS is also great for that and maybe you could do a poll of the most popular episodes to see which ones you should react to since there are a LOT and doing them all would be impossible 😂

ADB

so each documentary movie has an accompanying 8 part episode documentary series with more personal perspectives and different scenes. If you want more content of this era then you can do the burn the stage docuseries which is on YouTube originals or move onto the next tour documentary which is called "bring the soul"

Kathryn T

In terms of what to watch next it depends on what you want to get out of it. If you want to see more about them on a professional level, as others suggested watching the two other tour documentaries (whether the movie or series version) would be a great place. If you want to learn more about them their travel show Bon Voyage and In the Soop would be great places to start. They're pretty long but a ton of fun to watch. My favourite is Bon Voyage Season 4 and In the Soop. If you watch In The Soop they also show the spontaneous writing process (and later recording process) of the theme song so you'd still get some professional side of them. I do think the best possible way to get to know them is to watch their variety series Run BTS. But it is a huge time investment as there are 140 episodes currently and they vary in length from 15 minutes to nearly an hour. It's the truest the boys show us to their real selves and its really just them having fun and playing games all episode long. New episodes come out on Tuesdays and its one of the highlights of my week. They always make me laugh. I have a few episodes that are what I go to whenever I'm feeling down and want an uplift

Kathryn T

Also if you want just some factual information about them, that's where the fan documentaries come in. There's less of the boys personality but if you want to know about their history or where the boys came from, that's probably the fastest and easiest way. I personally like XCeleste's videos but some of the other ones are good too

Rana Orsan

If u want more behind the scenes stuff like this, you should watch the "Break The Silence" documentary, it was for their 2019 tour so its much more up to date.

Pretty Much

Thank you so much for reacting to this (and any BTS content, for that matter)! I'm so glad you're getting to know their personalities better, they're really humble and such sweet humans. And they're even funnier than this documentary shows, they're positively completely crazy and we love them for it. If you need a short video to get to know them a little better, not story-wise, but personality-wise, I think Carpool Karaoke is a very good one. It’s the gist but it’s perfect at that. If you’d like to see more of their playful and chaotic side, I think everyone would recommend their Run BTS variety series, but it’s incredibly long (every ep is around half an hour and there are 141 as of now), and I’m not sure non-ARMY would enjoy all of them as much as we ARMY do. So if you decide to watch some, I think we could recommend you the best ones. E.g. a fan favorite is ep. 41 with a whisper challenge that became an inside joke. Personally I would really recommend two videos of the Game Caterers x Run BTS collab that came out recently: “Of course, the hottest mess of a game in BTS history” and “What were their missions? Dominoes, quail eggs, and kimchi…” But there really is a lot to pick from. Performance-wise, I think pretty much everyone would love to see you react to the legendary “BTS MMA 2019” award show performance. It’s art, it’s incredible. And my personal song recommendation is Lie by Jimin with lyrics because it has text painting and I think production-wise it’s very very interesting. Thank you again for your reactions ^.^ We really appreciate them

Rana Orsan

if you want like more of their personalities I recommend watching Run BTS which is like their variety show where they play games and stuff, SPecifically I would recommend episode 56 in which they have fun and play around for the first 2/3ds and the last bit they sit around a campfire and write poems abt each other which was very sweet, I like this episode bc it shows how funny and chaotic they are and also how sweet and how much they love each other, its also only like 35 minutes long, so if you want smth a bit more short but still shows who they are I recommend that episode of bts run

hallie713

Break The Silence is another great BTS documentary! It was released last year as well so it is recent :) I personally love how it is put together and how much it showcases their true personalities

laura zane

Is the best one for me. Really loved that one, it does a good job to showcase each one of them and is more recent

Britney Lee

Honestly, for the next documentary watch, I would recommend Burn The Stage: The Series. It goes into much more depth about what they were going through during the moments you saw in the movie and there are little interview moments (like you saw at the end of the movie) all throughout it. So it'll add a lot to what you saw in the movie in terms of their personalities, their relationships with one another, their struggles and hardships, and what they put into their performances.

soph

"Break The Silence" is a really good documentary about their 2019 tour, similar to this one but they're older and I think it's more personal and even deeper than this one, and in my opinion the series is better than the movie! Because the movies are all of the episodes squished into one shorter piece, but the series is the entire thing. so I recommend watching the whole series, if you can, even if it takes a while we don't mind :)

L

Ahh I hoped you watched the extra footage during the credits! It's nothing important but it's fun vibes and outtakes. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's been sometime since I last saw Burn the Stage so I had fun re-watching it along with you! Agree with everyone else, just watch the next movie in the series (Bring the Soul). Looking forward to it! By the way, you don't need to download the app to access weverse. I think you can load it in your browser by directing to weverse.io. That way you can still stream your screen.

Bangtan is life

I agree with what has already been said. Watching the other two documentaries might be the best thing for now, as the series might take more of your time! And just a little note , a part of the subs that were mistranslated I think, because since this was filmed in 2017 it was their 4th year not their 6th

aaRCee S.

We really2x appreciate this. Just choose from what others commented above. I would really like for you to watch The Rise of Bangtan but it can wait later since you already enjoyed the official ones, its nice keep going. TRoB is just really much in depth too and you’ll know the context of their songs from their experiences. Meanwhile, the official docus are the behind the scenes and their thoughts on their tours. It depends really on what you would want to get from it just like what mentioned above. If you want to know them through their songs, check out some of these songs: - Road/Path (this was in the docu towards the last part during the last concert in Seoul) - Born Singer (adaptation of J.Cole’s Born Sinner, rewritten with their own lyrics) - HipHop Phile (Expressing their love for HipHop and their HipHop influences) Some of these were written while still they are trainees or just right after they debuted. They are deeply rooted from hiphop, that’s why even if they venture to other genres, a full hiphop song will still be included in their albums. Honestly, they made me appreciate hiphop, which I don’t listen to normally. I wouldn’t ask you to do all of it on cam coz it’s a lot. If you feel like you want to check it out, you can watch/listen to it off cam too. You genuinely wanting to know them is really enough. We’re just here to let you know about things you could check. As much as I want you to react more BTS which we can also watch, I know you like music so much and you would want to check out other artists too, we do listen to others too. So, do it on your own pace. Tho I’m not complaining when you’re generous to us, I love it.

Anahi

All the official documentaries are really great, but they are mainly centered around a certain tour (like Burn The Stage was filmed during the Wings Tour in 2017). I still recommend you watch them though. But if you really want a deep dive into the history of BTS from their debut, The Rise of Bangtan is really great, even if it is fanmade so I really hope you'll watch it too.

TJ

The Rise of Bangtan does give you a more wholesome idea, of why they reached this stage. I would suggest this one for you to know more. While official one gives you behind the scenes, Rise of Bangtan shows their complete growth 0 to million

aaRCee S.

I would like to give you more options Sir on getting to know more about BTS and their music, here's a link to the recent Rolling Stone journalist's tweet regarding the materials he used for research before interviewing the boys. https://twitter.com/hiattb/status/1396121061608116224?s=19 It includes the Rise of Bangtan docuseries and Kim Youngdae's (music critic) book regarding his review on BTS discography, if you're a book reader, you may also consider this one. 😊 I hope it's not too overwhelming just choose whatever you are comfortable with. Honestly, I really want the book, but it's not my priority yet, so I don't have a copy and I haven't read it yet. But this music critic respects the boys so much and I believe he's one of those in the industry who saw something in early Bangtan, paid close attention and watch them grow with their music. 😊

Stephy13

bring the soul movie or all the official documentaries but they are just more detailed versions of the 3 movies they have put out

TaeTae

The next one you watch should be “bring the soul the movie”

TaeTae

Also thank you for the reaction, I really enjoyed it. I didn’t know you made bts patreon reactions and when i found out, I subscribed to your patreon immediately. Keep it up!💜

Bee

Will you be reacting to twenty one pilots new album Scaled and Icy?

Winter

Thanks for another BTS video! We’re glad to know you are enjoying them as much as we enjoy you watching them! Many others are suggesting similar documentaries like this, but if I were to have an opinion, I’d suggest you react to “Who is BTS?: The Seven Members of Bangtan (INTRODUCITON)” ( link: https://youtu.be/xu0IfBvZMRs ); This way, you can get a bit more insight on the members individually and hear more of their growth from before debut to now. Many you tubers react to this video when they first start off getting to know BTS and say they’ve learned a lot, so I highly recommend! It’s all up to you! Thanks once again for the reaction and we hope to see more BTS (and/or Kpop) in the future !!!! 💜💜💜💜

JM1K13

Please Burn The Stage: The series.

Dhel

Love your reaction! For next, I definitely recommend watching "Burn The Stage : The series" as it will show you more into their journey on Burn The Stage. If you want t a more detail documentary to show you since their early beginning until now then fanmade ones are good like "Rise of Bangtan". if you want to get to know their personality their show "RUN BTS" is the best or watch carpool karaoke. If you want to see more of their performance with large scale, watch "BTS Stage MMA 2018", "BTS Stage MMA 2019", or their one week performance on Jimmy Fallon. They show fantastic performance there. Waiting to see more BTS content from you!

Lucia Haswell

Break the Silence, which is there most recent one, will be good to watch as you get to see who each of them are as individuals more than you do with this one

dani ya

You should watch Bring the Soul or Break the Silence! Both are newer documentaries so i feel like that'll give you more perspective

Anisha Joshi

Please do the Billie Eilish Documentary

Laura Winchester

I would really like you to react to Break the Silence: the movie, it's their most recent one

Aeri Love

Thank you for watching this, love your reaction as always. Now for next documentary, please watch Bring The Soul and Break The Silence. If have to choose then definitely Break the Silence.

Minnie

I think since you started with their first documentary movie you should keep up in order so the next one would be "Bring the Soul" and then " Break the Silence"

yosra

break the silence the movie or the serie is great:)

merisa

thanks for this we really appreciate it <3 <3 and also please give us more <3

nal (jjinjjin)

Thank you for taking your time to watch this. The other movies and series are also great and very informative. When I watched the movie, I was very confused because the interviews at the end were filmed in summer of 2018, around the time Idol was released. I asked myself why they didn't interview them at the beginning of the year when they released Fake Love, it would have made more sense to me. About a month after the movie was released my question was answered. At the MAMA awards Jin revealed that at the beginning of 2018, so only a few months after the Wings Tour ended, they seriously thought about disbanding. The pressure was too much, they were mentally drained and scared. It was heartbreaking but also eye-opening. When they released Idol, they found their answer, their way again. They knew what they wanted and weren't as scared anymore and I think you can see it in the interviews by the way they talked about the tour and their achievements. I really recommend you to watch the next movie, or series "Bring the Soul". Again, thank you.

tiph

there's 2 other great movies : Bring The Soul (2019) and Break The Silence (2020), wherein you can really see the growth

tiph

and if you wanna dive more into it there's also Bring The Soul : Docu-Series

Marina Christensen

To me the thing with language in music is that it has absolutley nothing to do with Music. We are such a Big part of the world which native language arent english, so Why should we have to make Music in english. I mean the fact that they have to make their songs english to got “accepted” and get succes in the west pisses me off. Especially cause their korean Music is so much more autentic and good. I prefer listening to artist in their native language and then spend extra time reading and understanding their lyrics that they spend a lot of time at, and also be able to listen to the song and their voices without thinking about the lyrics is also really beautiful. I hope this way of thinking is coming to an end soon, cause I cant take it. And American interviewers should stop asking for “when do you make an album in english” “Why dont you make more english songs”... CAUSE THEY’re not english or American. Sorry for my little flip😂

aaRCee S.

Bestie, i think you meant Bring the Soul 😊, then Break the Silence is after that. I was not yet an army back then, I’m a 2019 army. When I watched that specific award speech while exploring the rabbit hole, I was ugly crying, thinking that we could have lose them, and the possibility that I wouldn’t have found them. The songs that made me deep dive in this beautiful rabbit hole were from LY: Tear which is released after that “thinking of disbanding” phase. The true meaning of Outro: Tear which was only revealed in Break the Silence, it explains why everytime I watch the live performance, I felt like tearing up.

nal (jjinjjin)

Oh, you’re right! I always get confused with the titles 😅 thank you. That speech...was a hard pill to swallow. I remember watching the live stream and I was already so emotional because they’ve won so many awards but after seeing them crying and listening to Jin, I was a mess. Back then we all knew that 2018 wasn’t easy for them, it was obvious, but not to the point that they thought about disbanding. I’m glad that they took a break, that yoongi wrote tear as an outlet and that they found a reason to keep going!

nasya cgs

break the silence and bring the soul, anw thankyou for watching

BellsRing

I love these YouTube videos: BTS from nobodies to legends by XCeleste 2019 The most beautiful life goes on: A story of BTS by The Asian Theory

DanielleM

Blake, thank you for this reaction!! I think my favorite part was when you saw Taehyung/V’s puppy Yeontan! Lol!💜

Fabianna Mazzini

Hi! Thank you so much for this reaction! About recommendations there are a LOT, but if you want to continue with this Original Movies the next one is "Bring the Soul: The Movie" and the last one is "Break the silence: Persona", they are similar to this one but cover the next two tours they did since then and personally I think they are even better! So I highly recommend them if you liked this format

Ashley

If you like the more documentary style videos then I would suggest watching their other two which are Bring The Soul and Break The Silence. There is also a more in-depth version of Burn The Stage. It is an 8 part doc-u series on YouTube. The Burn The Stage movie was technically a summary of all 8 episodes but if you wanted to know a little bit more then the episodes are more in depth. There are some fan-made docs on YouTube which is what others are suggesting some are good and some aren’t view at your own discretion. I would also like to suggest watching the documentaries in order to show their growth. One more thing on the fan made videos they’re cool and they let you know about their debut all the way up until now but they are BTS through someone else’s eyes and with the official doc you series it’s BTS through BTS’ eyes. Another thing about the fan made documentaries is some some of the information isn’t factual. Not all of it but there will be like one or two sentences or stories that they tell that are not true.

aaRCee S.

The Rise of Bangtan is pretty much pseudo official (made by a professional army) since they didn't put any unnecessary narratives, and everything were from the boys themselves and official sources pretty much the boys' POV. What I would suggest to watch with grain of salt were the short intro's which was narrated by fan creators, tho I love them, but its prone to bias and misinformation for some. I'm really pushing TRoB, it's that excellent of a documentary, that I hope it would be officially broadcasted in Korea too of course worldwide if possible.

Anna

I think you'd really enjoy the Burn the Stage Docuseries. Its only 8 episodes on Youtube and goes further into depth than the movie. You really get to see how they handle stress and the arguments that stem from it.

Sofia

IN THE SOOP! Not very music-focused but definitely a great (and super fun/relaxing) view of their break time. I think there's an episode too where they spontaneously make the show's theme song

Tiffani Thomas

Loved your reaction to the docuseries! I had a similar kind of experience where I watched Tiny Desk, got interested, found a few other MVs and performances, but then really started to dive into them by watching the documentaries. The series that goes with this one (is on Youtube) is pretty good, but if you want a good truly deep-dive into their origins with some kpop industry info thrown in, I HIGHLY recommend "The Rise of Bangtan." It's fan-made, but it's professional quality and the maker tries very hard not to insert her own commentary into the narrative. She uses the guys' own clips, behinds, Bangtan Bombs, photos, and social media interactions and puts it all in chronological order in a way that makes it all easy to understand as a new fan. It's still ongoing (I think the latest episode has worked up to Blood, Sweat, Tears era) but it's really helped me understand how they started and who they've been since then. I'd love to see your reaction to it.

I loved it! I hope to see more reactions like this Have a great day🙂

Cat L

Love your reaction! If you want to see more of their evolution, I recommend the 2 other docu-series (not the movies): - Bring The Soul series (6 episodes): Follows their 2018-2019 Love Yourself Tour - Break The Silence series (5 episodes) follows their Speak Yourself stadium tour 2019-2020 There are also a lot of fan made documentaries that are really good and give you different insights into them. "The Rise of Bangtan" is one of them. It's extremely well done and has 12 chapters so far (about 25-30 min each).

MintChoco

Bring the soul movie

paola

Loved it! Please react to the next documentaries Bring the soul and Break the silence!

gloomy

bring the soul is their 2019 documentary, break the silence is 2020

Kennedy

Bring the Soul is soo good! I think you'll love it

Lidya Hagos

Burn the stage is actually a series on youtube red. IT is about the same tour but you get to really see a lot, like conflict resolution in the team

Marija Milo

Hi Blake any of their movies or series based around their world tours are amazing. The latest one released in 2020 is called Break the silence. Or in the SOOP is one where they rented a house in the forest and muck around basically but shows their personalities. They also compose the theme song for the series during it and its quite entertaining to watch them make it.

Elaina Vandekerckhove

Thank you so much for your reactions! I think you mentioned shinee in the beginning, and I would love it if you reacted to their stuff as well. They've been around since 2008 and are still going strong. They sadly lost a member in 2017, Jonghyun, but I'm sure you would like his self-written music a lot.

Ilda Eufragio

Bring the Soul is one of my favorite documentaries covers a lot of insight on their views on music and how they view their craft. Another more recent one is Break the Silence which is great too.

2023-03-18 21:25:56 You can watch a fanmade documentary about BTS, that has their whole story included, though of course limited a bit since ARMY made it. Right now there are 12 episodes but they are still coming out. Link to episode 1; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxAmkAwIEeY&t=1s&ab_channel=TheRiseOfBangtanOfficial
