Hey folks!

As requested by one of our Chibbin Dukes, we are taking the time to do more castle/citadel maps, so here is Blackwater Tower!

(27x15 / 140x140 pixels per square)

Blackwater Tower has been the dominant waypoint of the landscape ending just before the Warforge Valley.
Those from the colder reaches of Westan, such as the two harbour cities Grimblebury and Duke (pronounced Joo-k),  always use Blackwater Tower as their waypoint to the maintained roads and paths, most notably the Mason Road

Blackwater Tower gets its name from the dried up waterbed that was once known as Blackwater Lake.
It is said that this tower was built by a master mason after she lost her beloved husband around the same time that the lake mysteriously dried up.
Some versions of the tale connect the two events together, while other tales simply state that she built it here because the dried-up lake symbolised her empty heart.

To this day, the gates are sealed shut, but where there is a will, there is a way. Various groups regularly break into the middle floor of the tower, known as the Room of Ritual, for it is said to be a site where one can concentrate their energies.

The second most iconic feature of Blackwater Tower is the mirrored statue of Conrar Roundshield, seen also at Three Ladies Hold.

The Blackwater Tower is said to be the resting place of the legendary Macestaff of Lorg Mor.
It is said to wield both the powers of giving life and death, and is most sought after by powerful beings throughout Heran.
Most notoriously searching for this artifact is the scornful giantess Morrigan, a long-feared  and shrewd sorceress, who can be both charming and persuasive when she wants to be.
Morrigan's true aim is to regain her status as a deity of death. She is currently doing all within her means to claim any artifact that links with the aspect of death.

During the fall season, the Giant Eun can often be found perched around Blackwater Tower.
Brave or stupid trappers come to try and catch these powerful birds of prey, as they sell well as war mounts. However, the average trapper is more likely to become their meal than their capturer.
