Hey folks!

Today we have for you our world map of Heran!
Chibbin Knights can find High Quality versions here.

Heran is a setting Connor created and has been working on for several years.
If you've been keeping up with our previous Rites of Heran maps, some of the places you can see on this map will sound familiar!
Here's a breakdown and index of the locations we have shown so far:
Westan

Though it may seem just a small location on the map, Turnhip is a definitive Rites of Heran staple, as it was designed as a starter town for Connor's games.
It is a town surrounded on all sides by huge fortified dwellings called bastions. It is both an honour and a duty to live and serve in these houses.
Turnhip is also the home to two rival taverns; The Gilded Cockerel and The Rusty Ladle.
Going North out of Turnhip will lead you through one of the pathways into the Howling Forest.

The Howling Forest extends into the South-East from where Turnhip is located.
It is in this forest that you can find Hangers Crossing.
If you are brave enough to pass through this crossing, venturing East will lead you to the Druids Respite.
Carrying on North through Turnhip and the Howling Forest will eventually lead you to The Pack Hills.

There are rumours of some shady activity going on in these hills, in particular the Smoggie Joe Hillside area.
The city of Direpeak is also located in these hills.

In the vast underground networks of this city lies the hidden Temple to Cybele, where a once widely favoured god is now only worshipped by a secret heretic cult.
These secret worshippers mainly consist of lower castle clansmen from the 14 Laird clans.
These 14 clans each own a keep in Direpeak; two of which are Three Ladies Hold and Dunedin Hold.
Direpeak is also the home of the Three Ladies Library.
Eastan
Crossing over through Bridgetown will take you into Eastan.
Eastan is home to Chibbin Grove. This forest was of course the inspiration for our name!

It is told that somewhere deep within this forest there is a hidden floating fortress, known in myth as The Chib. This is the residence and base of operation for the mythical order of The Chibs. They are a sacred order that protects Chibbin Grove forest in its times of need.
It's squires, knights, dukes and sages hold fort while the merchants garner influence overseas.
Inspired by Tom Bombadil, the powers of The Chib are bound by the Chibbin Grove forest itself.
The order of The Chibs work alongside the Master of Gnomes, whom resides near the World Tree.
The World Tree is in a warring state with the World Pumpkin, which can also be found in the Chibbin Grove forest.
Part of Chibbin Grove forest lies close to Pillars End. In between these two locations stands Hagfash Tower.

Pillars End is also the home to six colossal pillars that tower into the sky, the precise reason for which remains unknown.
East of Pillars End you will find Kakundo Jungle.

The Palace Mountains give source to the River Makindo that runs through this jungle.

Omasa Falls can be found at the South of these mountains, providing the river source.
East of Kakundo Jungle you will find the Southern Jebian Desert.

It is deep within this desert that the mysterious ancient city, The Jewel of Ibex Crater, hides within the moving sands.
Also in the Jebian Desert you can find the Twin Aros Tombs, which mysteriously contain iconography and symbolism from the far city of Direpeak.
Check out the Discord tapestries for more wee tidbits of lore about other locations we haven't yet expanded upon here!
In our spare time, Connor and I are working towards compiling all of the Rites of Heran lore, maps, illustrations and tables into one complete Setting Book. Almost like a traveller's guide, so that anybody can adventure in and explore Heran.
Expect to see that coming up in the new year.
If you stuck with us and read through all of this, kudos and thank you kindly!
If you have any questions, please drop them below or over on Discord, we would be very happy to answer!
