Hey folks!

We are pleased to present to you this coloured region map of Turnhip!

Turnhip is the first location Connor came up with for his homebrew setting of Heran.
You can expect to explore more of Heran as time goes on!
In the meantime, if you have any questions about Heran, let us know!

Check out the greyscale version of this map here!

Turnhip is a small fish in a big pond occupied by two other large fish. Turnhip acts as both an intermediary between these two big fish and also as a buffer to help quell any feuds between them.
Turnhip is situated on the banks of the
Howling River that connects it to the dreaded and oft-feared Howling Forest. Turnhip is also connected to a road called Mason Road - the most important road in Western Heran (Westan).
One could argue that the most distinguishing feature of Turnhip is the curtain wall-like houses that encompass the entirety of the settlement. These fortified homesteads are often referred to as bastions as these true and tested defensive structures have acted as a home to some of the most prestigious members of the city and also are points of security and comfort.
Turnhip requires such heavy defenses for such an isolated town to keep away opportunists and protect it's bountiful and lucrative markets. These defenses act as a statement of power and deterrent for would-be troublemakers.
Inside the town itself it is easy to get lost in the abundance of small alleyways and closes.
The people of Turnhip are divided by the town's rival taverns -
The Guilded Cockerel and The Fustae Ladle (pron. Foos-teh) - so much so that there are even tavern gangs. It is not an uncommon sight to see patrons brandishing colours of their championed drinking hole and brawling in the streets.
Some other draws to Turnhip, other than its bustling market, are
Felsteed College and the Dedication of Kor. The former being a bunch of hunchbacked closed-off scholars who rarely leave their college doors and the latter being a rundown place of worship to an ancient deity, where all are welcome.
Turnhip Farm is often overlooked and overshadowed by the gizmos and gadgets that can be seen over at the mysterious newly-built Clocktower but it is said that the family that lives on the farm have been there since the very early days of the settlement.
Townspeople view the farm with superstition and look down upon the farm workers. though they actually have all the power as they are in control of Turnhip's grain supply.

We are planning to make some battlemaps for this region so if there is anywhere in particular you would like a closer look of, please let us know below!

Hope you like it guys!
