We’re joined by the Intercept’s Ryan Grim, who’s spent the last several months attending State Department briefings, directly questioning the department representatives and reporting on administration messaging. We discuss his experiences in the mouth of the consent-manufacturing machine, and how he thinks the admin and various media orgs have functioned while he’s been there. We also discuss Ryan’s new book on The Squad, and how young progressive legislators are shaped and disciplined by the Democratic Party, and the special prominence of the Israel lobby within it.

Check out Ryan’s reporting at https://theintercept.com/staff/ryangrim/

challenge democrats for a public sphere that works for the popular movement. Pelosi and Crowley are just the canaries in the coal mine ... like literally...

Lmao, I grew up like 2 miles from Duffy’s. It has a tough reputation as a biker bar but it’s really in the least dangerous part of Paterson - couldn’t be closer to the Fair Lawn border. Gottheimer’s an absolute stooge

2024-01-14 11:34:25 Never forget Ryan ran cover for the squad since 2020. Now we know why. Good look on the book babe.
2024-01-14 09:58:27 Never forget Ryan has been running cover for the squad since 2020. We all know why. Thank you Felix and Will for your pushback on his dick sucking. It’s a shame. Minus his simping of the squad he does good work. Best of luck on the book babe.

Great episode. Very informative.

Beyond what Will shares here about Isabella Kirchner, Max Blumenthal revealed how she came after the Gray Zone & Electronic Intifada for "minimizing" Oct. 7 by pointing out how the IDF killed 2,000 of their own people (the Hannibal option) to prevent hostage-taking . . . Inconveniently for Isabella in the interval between Kirchner reaching out to him & his response, the Israeli gov't. admitted that they had done exactly what the GZ & EI had revealed. Then when Max & Aaron Mate got her on the phone, Aaron tried to ask her about an old article she wrote claiming there were only "a few Bedouins" in Palestine when the Jewish Zionists arrived, & did she still believe that? She hung up the phone without answering at that point.
