Dear Loyal Grey Wolves,

We've just integrated a new podcast product called Acast with our Patreon podcast feed. The primary purpose of this is to make it easier to access your subscriber-only podcast feed, which I know from experience has been a bit of a pain in the past, with the copying and pasting of the hard-to-find link from one app to another.

Here's how the improvement works: For new subscribers, to subscribe to the patron-only feed, from the device where you want to listen, CLICK HERE to sign in to your Patreon account, hit “Allow” to enable delivery of the content, then select your podcast app of choice to subscribe. This works with Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Downcast, Podcast Addict, Acast, and dozens more podcast apps.

If you're already subscribed (theoretically most people reading this), you should continue to receive your content normally with no interruption.

So this should offer a one-click port between your Patreon private RSS link and your podcast player of choice on mobile devices, as well as fix some of the bugs patrons have reported about our content not appearing. Hopefully much easier for users.

Additionally, this service will give us better analytics on Patreon listeners, which will hopefully help us do things like better book venues for shows and tours (if/when we can do that again in the future).

One other small announcement: I have finally decided that starting in the new year, I will be uploading all regular free episodes to Patreon in addition to their public postings on Soundcloud. While creating another annoying step in my workflow, I am valiantly sacrificing precious minutes of my time to allow Patreon subscribers to find every episode of the show - free and premium - in their one Grey Wolf subscription feed. Again, this should hopefully improve the user experience for subscribers and I know has been a much-requested feature.

I will try to engage with any technical questions in the comments here but as always, address any other complaints to Virgil.

Thanks, and have a happy holidays.
