Of everything you all talked about, I can't believe I am going to comment about Columbo. As a someone who has Italian ancestry, I hate the Columbus statues (and Columbus day) and the Rizzo statue. But as an addict of the original Columbo series (fromt the 1970s) - watch it carefully. There is a great deal of hidden socialism in there. He is an overworked, low-key public servant who takes down the powerful and the capitalists when the others cops around him are ready to just chalk everything up to a "blue-collar" criminal. It's a weirdly progressive piece of television from a period when most television was saccharin trash. Yes, he was a cop. But he was also famous for not liking guns or even carrying one. Plus, he drove a french car....how much more socialist can you get?
