Brilliant. I love pointing out the dichotomy between beleiving they are popular as if centrism were defined by popular opinion, and actually defining the positions by splitting the difference between Rep and Dem, or between Con and Lib-Dem, and then double-thinking away the dissonance when their actual politics ids deeply unpopular by imagining themselves as the noble truth tellers giving us plebs the bad news we don't want to hear.
