I dunno how you can look at all the evidence (or lack thereof) re: the Ellison situation and not conclude that she was full of shit. Even his enemies basically dropped it 'cause it wasn't very credible, probably why they decided to air it just 48 hrs before the election - any earlier and people would have had time to dig through the bullshit.

I've actually thought about this recently and the most simplest answer is the most probable- the Dems are still playing politics like they are still in the 80, and 90's, while the Republicans are playing it like it is- politics. This 50/50 bipartisan shit is recent, and didn't exist before most people who use Twitter and Facebook were alive. The Civil War and the American Revolution didn't happen just because- it was a political disagreement over people's rights, in both cases, and instead of act like we should get some sort of white-flag Kumbaya hug your enemies shit, people fought and died over their disagreements. It's all just optics to them. People like Kamala Harris are too stupid to recognize what level the Republicans have been playing at since 2008.

Yeah, I have to agree. I do not disagree with anything they said but I found the whole episode dour and depressing. Yes, these are dour and depressing times, but the whole point of the show is to give it a bit of humor. Enraged Felix just calls everyone pieces of shit which, yes, is true in this case, but is not very entertaining. I think having Matt, who is a master at directed rage, would make for a better episode. Or Gareth from the Dollop! But, ya, I did not walk away from this episode with a better perspective on these events. Just a feeling of impotence.
