I agree love has absolutely nothing to do with procreation. You can totally want kids without being or even wanting to be in a relationship with someone else. It's called being a single parent by choice and is more common than you would think. I have two kids using donor sperm. I know who the donor is but don't personally know him and the kids can initiate contact when they turn 18 if they want to.

I’m 73. I so wish I’d done this even though in the 70s and 80s in NC among my social group it’s doubtful anyone would have believed I was impregnated by artificial insemination. (I almost put AI. lol). I was simply not courageous enough and admire you greatly. My biggest regret is not that I didn’t get remarried after an 8 month fiasco, it’s not having children.
