The Delta Flyers is a weekly Star Trek: Voyager rewatch & recap podcast hosted by Garrett Wang & Robert Duncan McNeill. Each week Garrett and Robert will rewatch an episode of Voyager starting at the very beginning. This week’s episode is Extreme Risk. Garrett and Robbie recap and discuss the episode, and share their insight as series regulars. This week they are joined by Roxann Dawson to get her memories and thoughts on this episode!

Extreme Risk:
Torres's associates are troubled by her increasingly reckless behavior, such as orbital skydiving, and Lt Paris launches a new type of shuttle.

Such a great episode, loved Roxanne’s thoughts. 2023 perspective - they sort of ignore that whole HIPPA thing in the 24th century. I buy into the Chakotay/B’Elanna history made him uniquely able to conduct this intervention. But the lack of ‘I’m glad your feeling better but we need to work out counseling sessions in the future.’ I felt Chakotay was the Ship’s counselor (like Paris was the nurse — it was an additional duty). ‘Coherence’ is a scientific term for RF interaction (super simplified explanation). It has no relationship to ‘it makes sense’ definition of ‘coherent’. I think that Robbie is wearing a thin shirt. I think those are his pecs and the lighting is weird. They aren’t man-boobs because he’s pretty thin.
