What’s happening to Patreon?

While we are in love with our new site, we understand that some of you may wish to remain on Patreon, whether you have long subscription periods already paid for or are curious about the future of Patreon. You’re in the right place!

What are the new tiers?

Rare = $4.99USD

Epic = $9.99USD

Legendary = $19.99USD

And that’s it! As we said in the video, we wanted to keep these tiers simple - it means a lot of you in Golden Epic can be bumped up into Legendary for the same cost!

I have a long subscription period/annual sub? What now?

We turned off the ability for new annual subscribers in March, in preparation for Viva+. If you wish to move over to Viva+ and have subscribed annually to this Patreon, we are happy to move the equivalent value of the remaining months you have paid for onto a Viva+ subscription and match your tier. This will likely be in the form of a unique discount code we send you. If this applies to you, to receive this code and sort your new Viva+ account, please message us here on Patreon or info@vivaplus.tv. Please note, this unique transfer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers as only one discount code will be accepted at checkout. This includes the free month for Patrons, as this only applies to a monthly plan.

Once your remaining months are up, you will be automatically on the auto-pay subscription for the tier you selected.

I have a monthly subscription! What do I need to do?

We have created a free month of Viva+ (of any tier) for all current monthly paying Patrons. This is not only to ensure you get a great trial of the new site and features for all your support you’ve given us here on Patreon, but if you find your Patreon subscription rolls over to the next month before you are able to cancel it, you will not be charged for both Patreon and Viva+ that month.

This code is for monthly plans - if you would prefer an annual plan and still would like a sweet sweet discount we have a 20% off your annual plan promotion that goes into effect at launch.

You’ll find these discount codes in your email inbox on launch day, so keep an eye out! Only one discount code per account will be valid and can only be used for new members.

If you wish to keep your Patreon streak to Viva+, please use the same email as Patreon when you sign up to Viva+ and your streak will carry over. We cannot carry your credit card or payment details over, so you will have to select your tier and enter your payment information again. As we migrate accounts, these streaks update periodically so if your streak is still displaying incorrectly after a week please email us at info@vivaplus.tv.

If you are a free follower of the Patreon and are currently not paying for any tiers, we’re not leaving you out! For following our adventures on Patreon, we’re offering 50% off your first month of any Viva+ tier. Keep an eye out on your emails on launch day for this discount code.

What happens to my perks I have already earned on Patreon?

To everyone staying on Patreon, we endeavour to continue delivering these rewards and perks until further notice. This includes voice messages in Legendary and above, an End-of-Year video shoutout from Golden Legendary and above and gamertag selection for Golden Epic and above. Bloopers, updates, access to the Discord channels will continue to be fulfilled.

Are all the videos from Patreon on Viva+?

Yes! Patreon updates, old bloopers, and other videos posted over the many years we’ve been on Patreon have all been moved to the new site. Better yet, they are so much easier to find! To locate old updates and videos, type in the keyword ‘Patreon’ on Viva+ or use the ‘patreon’ filter tag at the top of your member feed. No more endless scrolling!

Is this Patreon shutting down? When?

Truth be told, we don’t know when we’ll shut down the Patreon for good! We will not shut down this Patreon without notice, so please don’t be afraid of a total shutdown any time soon. We want everyone who has paid in advance to get the full value of their support, and we understand that not everyone will move over straight away. We want to keep the portal from Patreon to Viva+ open for as long as possible!

Podcast videos?

We have hosted several episodes of the We Were Told podcast on Patreon with public access, and these videos will remain available. However, the entire first season, including full video versions, RSS feeds, and audio, will now be hosted on Viva+ under the ‘Podcasts’ tab. Additionally, for the first time, the full video versions of Behind ADHD + Me will be available for viewing on Viva+, also under the Podcasts tab. RSS and audio versions will be available as well for your listening pleasure.

Does Viva+ have an app like Patreon?

It will! The Viva+ app will have the ability to access the website in a mobile format, and have the ability to cast and stream the videos on-the-go or to your TV! We still recommend initially signing up on our desktop website, as the App Store/Google Play have extra fees and discount codes won't apply via the app. We are aiming for release of the app on launch day (30th July) but this is dependant on Google/Apple processing times! We'll make sure to let you know when its out to the world via social.

Can I cast to my TV?

Yes! If you regularly use Airplay or Google Chromecast to project video content onto your TV, Viva+ has the ability to cast from both the website browser and the Viva+ App. We also have picture-in-picture capability.

What about the amazing subtitles on the Youtube channels?

Do not fear - our amazing subtitles from both the D&D channel (shoutout Lorquin!) and the main channel will be the same on Viva+. We know how important subtitles have become for our community both as a form of accessibility and entertainment, so we pushed to make the subtitles feature available on Day 1 of Viva+!
