Hello guys!
I’m celebrating my 53rd birthday on the next Thursday October 1st (yay!) and I want to do something special to celebrate it with you.
I was already preparing something special for Halloween when I had an idea. As you may or may not know, I published a novel under another pseudonym on the summer of 2015, it’s named “Ayer” and it’s still available on Amazon, but only in Spanish.
The thing is I’ve been translating it to English on my little spare time since 2017, but I haven’t advanced a single chapter in the last 10 months. So I’ve decided this: I’m going to post here one or two chapters every week until it’s completed and afterwards I’ll publish it on Amazon for the general public!
This way I’ll be committing myself to finish working on that translation and release it after all this years, and at the same time you’ll be the first to read it and I’ll have your valuable feedback. What do you think?
The reason why I said I’ll be posting one or two chapters each week is because of narrative coherence (you may or may not need to know what happens next) and so that I have enough time to catch up with my translation work. The book translation is already halfway, but since I’m making some adaptations and corrections here and there it’s a slow process.
Oh! and don’t worry, it’s not a dud (LOL), it sold (and still has some sales) well, had very nice reviews and helped me pay bills and expenses for more than six months. It took me almost seven years of research and work to write it, and it was a fascinating and very fun process sadly interrupted on 2012 by my health problems (the moment I had a slight recovery and had a clear mind again I hurried to finish it just in case, luckily there was little left to do).
It’s a thriller with some fantastic elements and it starts with a very narrow close up on a single persons life that slowly opens to a very large scope story, I’m hoping you will have the same joy reading it as I had creating it.
The journey begins this Thursday.
PS: I forgot to mention I also wrote some music to accompany the book. It’s included on my farewell album as Juan Belmonte, Antheus. More on that later.
