I recently had to cancel a commission for various reasons, but I since I had already spent a lot of time on its sketch, tonight I decided to rework it a bit  instead of completely discarding it.

What should I do with this now??? Should I finish it?
Do you have any pairing to suggest or should I put it up for a YCH commission to see if someone wants it??

Or should I just throw it in the trash and never think of it again? 👀

As long as your changed it enough from the original commission then they wouldn’t be getting what that asked for without paying

Please finish! It’s already looking great! 😄

ERD!

Putting it up as the template for a YCH could be fun! You'd be able to recoup a little for the work you've already done, and other people would have the chance to see their characters in your style!

Skevinger

It looks so great, please make something out of it!

Dicci

Looks great so far. Sorry it was a bad experience but I'm looking forward to seeing what it becomes

I have two pairing suggestions, perhaps Vincent and Panam from Cyberpunk or a rework into a lesbian scene with Valerie and Judy from the same game?

InkstainedFox

Change the characters to personal ones so you have an image to throw on a stable gallery & use the pose as well as a template for a YCH.

renkash

Put it as YCH

Hurley

Please forgive the possibly foolish question, but what does YCH stand for?

Otton

"Your character here", a type of commission where the pose is already defined by the artist, so you only submit the characters to be featured.

OthalaM

Ah, they were OCs so I really doubt they'd be interested in the piece with different characters!

OthalaM

Eh it happens! Not a bad experience per se, but a mix of miscommunications and a series of unfortunate events forced me to make the decision of canceling it!

With how close (or not) an artist can get to their work in varying degrees, I would never attempt to to suggest to an artist what to do with their work. I would only say to follow your heart and peace of mind. Do what you feel will make you happier or more satisfied.
