Need halp! Overwatch (Patreon)

I'm still doing the Overwatch picnic fanart. Now I'm working on Mccree, but there is a little problem. I don't understand how should I do his hat.

In the photo "old" Overwatch he seems to have a different hat, beard and outfit, other than both arms. His hat in particular looks like doesn't have the decorated belt thing.

I don't know if the artwork was made before the final concept or is intentional as it is. Anyway it would be half covered by Tracer's head.

What do you think? How should I make Mccree?
