Scathach Switch - are you ok with it? (Patreon)

Waddup pimps,

I just wanna reach you out for an important change.

Since I didn't like much Scathach picture, I made a new version of it. I really like how the new version looks and I'm probably gonna work on it, deleting the previous one.

But I also wanna hear from you. Are you ok with that change? The preview for now has a lower quality than the old version, but I'll eventually improve it with the full picture, adding more details.

P.S Also consider that the new version can be used as a background for your pc, something that was impossible with the old one.

I really like both and id love to see both finished. But i know what that won’t happen. The one where we’re looking at her from above especially looks amazing, so beautiful

I agree 100% with Mark. I love both and would love to see both finished. xD It would be a shame to just delete the 1st one after putting so much work into it. But if I absolutely had to pick, the 2nd wins. lol

Honestly I prefer the first one (the colors are super pleasing haha) but I'm totally okay with the second one! You do you man.

If the reason is merely related to the pose, then I'm sorry...I can't do anything about it. I'll find a way to recover the first pic somehow.

Yeah probably the blue and the green are going to disappear, but I'll sure do a better job with the shading (since the 2nd preview is in a lower quality).

To be honest, I really liked the first version. It was the picture I was most looking forward to from this batch. I think the second one looks a bit more bland due to the lack of scenery and atmosphere, and her expression looks nicer in the first one. The second one looks like something generic that has been done time and time again. I'm sure either one will be good, but I did like the look of the first one.

I voted for old one, because as gorgeous as the new one is, the first one has more depth and it's a less typical pinup shot. So the original one for me!

I would have prefered the first one but you are the artist and I want you to go with what you like best. But is there a way we can get the old preview as a single picture in full resolution? It was already pretty detailed after all.

I like both but I'll miss the background, expression and body language from the first one. Really added a lot of character.

I think, I like the older one more. It has more of a complete scenery. The image tells a story of a girl at the pool. The new concept looks more like a selfie shot.

In an empty pool. Is it even a story? To me it look just like a stock background (and that's pretty much what it is). This is exactly what made me say "I'm not doing it" since it looks like a girl in front of a green screen. The pose may be more appealing, but everything else doesn't work. Maybe if it was a bigger picture with more fgo chatacters playing in the pool, it could have been different, but I'm not gonna do it.

Both look cool, but I prefer by far the pose of the old one. I'll even take it without the background, if it's the problem. Or just by replacing the pool with the seau, or something like that.

Both are good, but you're right, new one is better! You're the artist, follow your gut! :D

Both are fantastic, but I agree the new one's better. Just don't overwork yourself redrawing things too often- your health is important! Your quality's consistently great anyway, and gets better each month. Take care of yourself, man.

I voted for the old one. The pose is the big thing. I'm just bored looking at the new version. I don't doubt you'll make the final product beautiful as usual, but the new version doesn't show me anything. I personally think it needs more details. Using your old painting of Heles as a reference, you can see she took her heels off, her big hat is next to her as she relaxes under an umbrella. The towel/blanket she's on looks comfy. I think it's a much better "snapshot"/scene than the new version of Scathach. From another comment, I also like the expression and body language in the old version better. Scathach looks sultry and aggressive and confident. Her expression in the new version is almost like a blank slate for me.
