I’ve done a fair bit of ad hoc medical care- I would NEVER suture a laceration in a bar in the smoke filled 1990’s. Clean it, butterfly it, wrap it, and pay the cabbie double. Then light the 151 & amaretto on fire and drop it in the beer, slam it and get to talking C-4 and det cord.
