The 'discover vital clues during a dream sequence' mechanic is REALLY INNOVATIVE. I don't know if it was in the source material, or if Joe just made it up, but it's very clever indeed. So much narrative and character-detail can be hung off this pluripotent structure. GM's just have to be careful to use the concept sparingly, so that their campaigns remain grounded.
