**********

Image 1: Satellite imagery of the construction in progress at Desert Sunrise Estates. 771 Palma Avenue was the only completed home in its D-ring when the murders occurred. Open desert to the south of the development. Not pictured: State Route 195 to the east.

Image 2: Senior Detective Julia Reardon of the Yuma Police Department bagging a spent casing at an active crime scene. Detective Reardon served as the lead investigator of the Abril murders. She enjoyed a casual friendship with Daniel W. Abril prior to his murder.

Image 3: Daniel W. Abril was very proud of the home he made for his family. It was such a labor of love that he dubbed it “Shangri-La” and spent a great deal of money on a commemorative plaque embedded in the sidewalk leading to the home’s entrance. The family moved into the home on January 2nd, 2016. On June 2nd, 2017, they died there. 771 Palma Avenue remains uninhabited.

Thanks to friend of the show, Brian Lee from Indianapolis for his incredible work.

That stuck out to me too lol. I recently flew into Arizona from Illinois, and I saw multiple people grabbing hunting rifle sized gun cases from baggage claim.

You can fly anywhere in the US with firearms. The airports are federal, it's when you step outside that the local PD gets on your ass about things.
