I'm alittle disappointed you guys decided to switch to 2E as I find it to be a weak modern roleplaying game but I'm sure I'll be enthusiastic by all your other projects.

Agreed. For instance: both Androids and PF2.0 have 'death cushions': gradations of the dying process that practically prevent sudden death. I'm not suggesting that the GC team start playing an OSR game with a high body count - their brand does rely on a reasonable amount of character continuity. But a game where a beloved PC can just die from a single hit (hint: Giant Slayer) is a game with real stakes. (Despite the death cushion the team have managed to lose a few PCs in Androids. But not in regular 'pew pew zap zap' combat, which ofc is the bulk of the game)

I'm super excited by it all. However I'll miss Giant Slayer as a DM listener. A lot of times I check rules, read the modules encounters in advance, listen for how he balanced encounters, introduced them, rules watch outs, brought in side story and ad libbed role play elements. I feel I learned and became a better DM from it. Thank you Troy! It's been a whole other experience compared to other podcasts. Atleast I'll have Legacy and Strange Aeons for that!
