Echo Quest: Superdungeon Cancelled (Patreon)

Hey Naish!

I'm here today to write a post unlike any we've ever written before on the Glass Cannon Network, and one that just flat out bums me out. We have come to the decision, after months of consideration, to cancel Echo Quest: Superdungeon. 

While the show had many outstanding elements that made it a unique part of the network (the terrific Sydney and Kiah, and our first journey into regular Pathfinder 2E content to name a few), ultimately the COVID-19 Quarantine took us out of the studio and severely hurt the show's momentum at a time when it was barely getting off the ground. We scheduled remote recordings of Echo Quest in October of 2020—when it appeared that a future of recording in person was still a long way off—and we had dates on the books, but due to circumstances that weren't anyone's fault those sessions had to be postponed. We thought we'd be back at it within weeks, but with the holidays, the return of our main shows, and everything else, there just wasn't any time left. Now, nearly a year since the last episode aired, we feel that we have to acknowledge Echo Quest as a casualty of the quarantine and, instead of looking backwards, we need to move on to focus on new shows and the future plans of the Network. I know this will disappoint many of you that enjoyed the story, or wanted to hear more Pathfinder 2E content, or felt that this show—as a Patreon milestone—was something you chipped in to produce! You're right to be disappointed and even frustrated with our decision here, but all I ask is that you trust we will be using our time to continue to bring in new voices onto thrilling new shows and that we have significant plans for Pathfinder 2E content in the future.

Thanks to all of you that supported the show and supported my GMing of it. I will miss it greatly. As a gamer, I am still DYING to run my friends through The Emerald Spire! But we've just run out of time on this making this particular show/campaign work and I hope you'll stick with us as we look forward to new and exciting projects month after month and year after year.
