GCN to Launch Patreon-Exclusive Discord Server (Patreon)

We’re excited to announce the launch of a new Glass Cannon Network Discord server this week that will be exclusive to our Patreon subscribers! The server will have several functions that subscribers are free to explore at their leisure, but primarily it will be a place that focuses on the Glass Cannon Patreon experience, including exclusive content, tier rewards, and more interaction with the personalities across the Glass Cannon Network. 

As a thank you to the hundreds of subscribers that increased their pledges from $5 to $10 and beyond during the COVID-19 crisis, this new server will also feature the all-new After Party channel: an online unique hangout following all of our Side Quest Side Sesh live streams. As we end each live stream on Thursday nights, cast members will pop into the After Party channel to crack a beer, talk about the sesh, and answer questions live from the text chat with Patreon subscribers at the $10 tier and up.

The Glass Cannon Network Discord server will go live on Tuesday, March 31st, at 12pm ET. In order to join the server, you will need to connect your Discord profile to your Patreon account. To do that, read this support article that will walk you through the process. 

Since most of you are already subscribers and we are adding this Discord functionality after you were a long-standing member of our Patreon, you should skip to the second step of the integration article above. If you just signed up for our Patreon and you are looking back at this post, start with step one. Please note: the Patreon to Discord integration can take a few hours for all the roles and functionality to lock into place, so if the connection doesn’t work on your first attempt on the afternoon of Tuesday 3/31, keep trying, it should all eventually open up.

We’re thrilled to offer this new experience to our subscribers, but we’d also like to make sure you know that the fan-run community Discord server, which has been around for years and has a vibrant and active membership, is alive and well and will continue to be a place for the community, run by the community. We think it’s important that both of these servers exist as companions.
