PLATINUM PRIESTESS FIRST-TIME CARD

Thanks to hitting the $2500/month Milestone Goal, I've been posting up Digital Kickstarter Rewards for $5+ Patrons to enjoy. And here's your latest reward!

Time to share the first kiss of another villain – The Platinum Priestess, way way way back in the day! With more awesome art by Gabriel Mayorga and Alex Sollazzo, I’m sure this little love story had a total sunshine-and-rainbows ending…

And with this one, I was able to create both desktop and mobile wallpaper versions. :)

LOL...I'd forgotten about this one...yeah, I don't think this ends well for the stud (even if he likes BDSM), but the artwork's great! I've said before that I really like Mayorga's lines and Sollazzo's colors - just another example of why. :-) And I always like touches like the snakes, the glow effect from the flame, etc. that make it really a complete picture! You and your artists never disappoint me. :-D

Oh yeah. She is fierce. I'm not sure it ends well for him... but I suspect he goes out in a blaze of glory. How many of us get to say that? LOL. Great work AW... Edit: And she has really good taste... Hottie!

It's awesome and I love it! Agreeing with Chris, too, she has really goos taste :) And somehow I totally want the story behind this! Is there a possibility this might get a wonderful short story, too? Holy, I'm getting demanding xD

Well we are talking about what time exactly? Prehistoric would be way exaggerated but then... I mean if you have a look at how strict some clans of people (who still live apart from civilization) are about their virgins even nowadays do you really wonder that she didn't have much possibilities when she was still younger? I mean how old may she be in this picture anyway? I'd guess late teens or very early twenties... Like she was just old enough to leave her clan... (I might be totally wrong with the clan thing to begin with but somehow I have this picture in my head for a while ^^)

Considering how obsessed she is with living forever, (which I can't blame her for) I'm wondering if this was her first attempt or possibly how she gained the ability to live for so long. It's obviously a ritual site of sorts maybe she had to use someone she loved for the spell? It's either that or she started out a hero and just got really twisted along the way. I can't decide which lol.

Geez, Sapfo, I've heard of people who didn't wait until after the honeymoon to start cheating, but your wife didn't even wait for the wedding??? That's cold. I figured her first kiss was non-consensual. I'm pretty sure that poor kid's life expectancy is less than the charge on my cellphone battery.

We also don't know that she's the one doing the sacrificing of him. This could be before she became a villain. Perhaps her mother is sacrificing him because she sees the potential for him to lead her daughter away. It could be a society that sacrifices their criminals and she fell for the bad boy (or someone trumped up some charges to keep them apart). It could be a voluntary sacrifice to keep the gods appeased and she's rewarding him for his courage. Just to name a few ways that this could be before she turned. Maybe even the start to why she turned depending on what happens. Her mother sacrificing him to keep him away from her or trumped up (or even real charges) getting him killed could leave her bitter. He sacrifices himself willingly so that the gods will smile on them and give them a good harvest, but it's terrible and many starve could be a good first step to her current self as well.

At that age she would have been expected to have several kids. Unless she actually is some kind of priestess which is required to be a virgin. In which case I'm afraid the little demon is going to tattle.

I don't really think so, it was the midle ages where you were expected to have several kids at the age of 16 or sth but way earlier it wasn't as common to have kids that early! At least that's what our biology and history teachers once told us in school... but hey you don't always have to believe your teachers xD (...says a one day teacher)

She looks considerably older than 16 to me. And as far as I know, it was agriculture that led to the many and early births. Agriculture came before metalworking, which this culture obviously has. Her woven dress and the large jar must also have made by a sendentary people, who must have practised agriculture. If she really is 6000 years old, she would have been about 500 when bronze was first worked in Egypt and Mosopotamia, BTW.

can't reply below for some reason therefor I'm doing it here ^^ as I said above I guessed her age on end of teens, early twenties, the 16 was just an example for saying at that age it was expected to have some children in the middle ages :) and also I just said that I only remember what teachers told me and that their words also aren't always reliable ^^ I don't know (or rather don't remember I guess) where you took the 6000 from now, guess it was mentioned in the comic somewhere, reaaaally need to re-read everything...

thanks for the link :) and yeah we shouldn't take what she says at face value anyway xD whatever the age, it was still her first kiss (and this is Alex's word not hers lol) so I still stick with my first guess, judging from the artwork :)
