Sometimes you get the worm. Sometimes an overwhelming worm army gets you…

My little calculator says this is the 100th comic page of the Legendary arc. Happy 100 pages, y’all! So glad to have you along for this ride! Reading your cheering and speculation in the comments makes all the hard work worthwhile, and I feel so lucky we have such awesome readers. Y’all rock!

So! It’s now 3 on 1! Or, should I say, three on one-half, since Spooky’s lost a little height since his last worm battle. (And some power too by the looks of it!) Are the worms actually going to devour our sorcerer-hero? Has Spooky played his last trick? Are we really about to witness the Death of Spooky Jones?

Tune in this Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there! :D

Wow, dick move Anaado. Poor Spooky.

Yay for page 100! WOAH UH-OH MAN for Spooky!

The extra eyes poking out of the ground are a nice touch. Are they sprouts that will grow into Great Flaming Eyeballs in the future? ;)

LarryP

Yeah, this is just torture, and classic abusive behavior. Make your partner feel as though they're powerless without you, to show how much they "need" you. When this chapter began, I thought Anaado was just angry over feeling abandon by Spooky, but if anything, now I think he's just finally showing his true colors.

I am a huge fan... But this storyline needs to be over.

While disagreeing, I completely respect anyone's need to protect themselves from it. Alex, have you considered putting trigger warnings for abusive relationships here?

Curt Clark

I agree with you re: the abusive behavior, but allow me to posit that Anaado is as much victim as perpetrator here. He's a demon, raised in Hell, with no moral compass outside of Spooky himself. Of course, this doesn't obligate Spooky to be said compass, but Anaado literally has no way of knowing right from wrong. No one outside Spooky ever showed him anything but evil. He's a villain, yes, but a tragic one, to me anyway, simply perpetrating a cycle, since he has no knowledge of how to break it, or even awareness that he should.

Curt Clark

They could always sprout a pair of Great Flaming Eyebrows... (kudos to anyone who gets the reference. IT'S SUPER OBSCURE, I know :p)

The computer ate my last comment...just as well, it was a tacky joke. Anyway, now I'm REALLY curious as to how Spooky's magic works. Last time I thought it was a matter of knowledge and will, things that Spooky shouldn't have lost when he was reverted, but now it seems he only has finger-sparks, which while useful for parties doesn't seem the most effective weapon against armies of giant Hell worms. Did Anaado also seal his powers away when he regressed him, or is this a side effect of the regression itself? Regardless, dick move Anaado. I commented above that he's a demon, from Hell, and thus doesn't have a moral compass outside of Spooky...but that doesn't obligate Spooky to be that compass. Right now Spooky needs and deserves better... Also, if Kyle were to fight back from inside Anaado, now would be a terrific time to do it.

I really hope Spooky finds a way to free Kyle from Anaado. Knowing that he's trapped inside a demon makes me think he'll remain in Hell along with him.

.....Is that Kyle's puppy shirt?

alexwoolfson

It's Spooky's shirt that we saw on this page: <a href="http://webcomics.yaoi911.com/typ/ete-bonus1-pages-16-17/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://webcomics.yaoi911.com/typ/ete-bonus1-pages-16-17/</a>
