Spooky!!! All right. Well! Our young magic user might be in a spot of trouble right now on this comic page, but he’s been getting lots of your love over at the Patreon page. Since the last update, y’all have blasted through two Milestone Goals, raising your support over $425/month to $5306/month! Holy cow, you all are so totally awesome! The first Milestone Goal (at $5000/month) was the chance for Patrons to vote for their favorite character for a Patreon-only wallpaper. Currently, Kyle is in the lead by a good margin, but voting will continue until Friday, so it’s not too late to cast your vote. Also, because it’ll take a month to get that wallpaper created after the vote is complete, I sweetened the pot by also adding in a fully-nude, full-color Full-Monty The Annihilator Pin-Up as a Special Digital Reward. The coloring for that pin-up is being finished right now, so I should be able to post that up for Patrons by Saturday. Whether you want to use it for a wallpaper for your phone, or would prefer instead to print it out and throw darts at it, I’ll tell you one thing: you won’t be disappointed with the art. This one is truly something special. The second Milestone Goal (at $5250/month) was a longer short story answering the question “What does it feel like to kiss Spooky Jones?” And, as I followed the truth of that story, it got kinda steamy. OK, very steamy. And people seemed to like what they read. Here are excerpts from the comments: “Ohhhh myyyyyyyy! Now that was certainly a wonderful diversion, and makes me want to know EVERYTHING about all three characters!”, “Oh Alex. Words are escaping me right now. I haven’t enjoyed myself with written words like that in a long, long time. I could have read a thousand pages of that story in one sitting, food and water be damned!”, and “I’m SO glad I didn’t read that at work! I’m here at home fanning myself.” Wondering what all the fuss is about? Want to feel some Spooky love? The story is up on the Patreon page right now for all Patrons to read. So! Ouch. Looks like The Annihilator isn’t taking any chances with the Spookster. Is our young wizard now out of the fight? How will his teammates react to what just happened? And what will The Annihilator do next? Tune in this Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there!

Waitaminute! What if one of Spooky's potions or whatever falls/breaks on him!?? >:( Or maybe that hydra capturing one lands on Anni? :D

Okay, honestly, I expected this. The page is gorgeous, but it's going to take me a sleep to be kind to it. My poor poor Spooky. Now I'm going to hope that Spooky and Kyle get together and do something really vile to Duncan. If he had a redeeming feature... it just disappeared into the distance. LOL.

Anni threw him further away, that gives spooky space to use his magic!

Man, that looks like it hurt. A lot! Excellent job by Adam and Vero. I'm almost expecting one of spooky's teeth to be flying about from the force of the blow, along with those potion bottles

Honestly, with the speed of Anni's punches, and the relationship between kinetic energy, velocity, and momentum (i.e. that momentum varies linearly with velocity, but kinetic energy varies as the square of velocity), to have transferred that much momentum to Spooky with a "punch" would have...well, let's just say that when Sensei talked about punching "through" the target, he may not have meant it quite that literally. Now, it's entirely possible that we're just seeing comic book physics at work here, or that Spooky has a personal force field, or is wearing Kinetic Reactive Nano-Armor[tm], or any of a hundred other reasons. But my personal theory is that The Annihilator, not actually wanting Kyle to hate him forever, pulled the living hell out of that punch. I know the sound effect was "WHAM", and I'd imagine it was easily enough to knock Spooky out (and out of the fight)...but I think it was more of a punch/shove than a full-on super-villain smack-down. Here's hoping I'm right. I still kinda want The Annihilator to be a forgivable anti-hero, and not the utter douchebag his manipulation of Kyle makes him seem.

This page makes me wonder how Amanda's powers work. The others definitely couldn't have helped Spooky, but if Amanda is like telepaths Psylocke or Emma Frost from X-Men, she could have interfered. On Page 109, we saw her yelling "Spooky! No!" with no mooks visible around her, definitely none in arm's reach. So she's both aware of what's going on and not currently fighting for her life. (Maybe it's callous, but in a situation like this I'd expect her to take a blow in order to save Spooky, as long as that doesn't take her out of the fight – that's most important.) Before this page loaded, I really expected to see Duncan thrown off his stride by a telepathic attack and Spooky using the critical half-second gained to get his ectoplasmic-restraint game on again. Why didn't Amanda (even try to) psi-blast Anni like she did PP earlier? Does she need more time to charge her attacks? Does Duncan's invulnerability extend to telepathic attacks? Was she just really sure that Spooks could take him? Was Anni just moving too fast? (Does a target's location/velocity matter?) All this said, Amanda is definitely my favourite character. I love everything about her (except possibly that she isn't a lesbian. :c Then again, unless the lady-kissing she mentioned in Kissing Spooks was part of a job, she's bi, which is good enough for me). Anyway – can't get distracted by talking about Amanda and kissing, here – my love for Amanda is probably why I'm wondering about her powers rather than any of the other incredible things going on. (Cunning Priestess! Poor Flyboy! Anni on the loose! Poor Spooky! How much time is on the clock?!)

Two down! Flyboy and Spooky are out of the fight? Who is left to win the day? Kyle, Tsunami, Amanda... and? Where did Annihilator hit Spooky, in the chin or the solar plexus? These and many more questions to be answered soon... I hope.

Those are all very good questions, Natascha! And I'm glad you like Amanda. She's a lot of fun for me to write, so you'll be seeing more of her in future prose stories! :)
