And there you have it, the story of how Gojo became the Godlike Manchild and how Geto became the Sorcerer Supremacist. What I always appreciated about Geto's eventual villain turn was that it was never one traumatic event that sent him over the edge, a person as principled as him wouldn't be so easily swayed by one bad day. Rather than it being one thing or another, it was a million tiny straws that broke the camels back. Hopelessness, Indignation, Existential Dread, Isolation, Depression, a Deep Resentment for his own cause and Being Presented With A Way Out. These are what broke him. The Sisyphean Task of being a Jujutsu Sorcerer is one he could stomach before, when his worldview was simply "The Strong exist to help The Weak" he could swallow as many curses as he needed to in order to achieve that, but when the horrors of his job took his toll on him and the value of those he was protecting became uncertain, that's when the duty that he once took pride in became an unbearable torture that he simply had to drag himself through out of obligation. And for what? Why sacrifice yourself for people creating the very things killing you? Why exorcise curses for them if the option of ridding the world of curses altogether is an option? Why protect the masses if the masses would never protect you, or worse, would harm and persecute you if they learned of your existence? His idealism fell apart, the cold unfair reality he lived in gradually crushed his sense of purpose into bitterness, and during the later half of this episode he began to see a way out. Seeing two innocent Sorcerer girls savagely beaten by ignorant Non-Sorcerers was the final push he needed, the perfect excuse to go apeshit and cross the point of no return. Geto didn't hesitate.

What's also funny is that I've seen Suguru Geto often compared to School Shooters. The quiet kid in the back who's well behaved but gets shit from the other kids/teachers one too many times and breaks down in the worst way possible before anyone knows they even needed help. It's hilariously accurate, in a twisted sort of way.
