there was also another episode with putin in it, episode 21x04. it's a prequel to the video game "the fractured but whole", where the boys try to make a million dollar by starting a superhero franchise on netflix. problem is butters, in his guise as professor chaos, started to spread fake news about the group by abusing facebook's feedback loop (create fake news, get people to click on it, get paid by advertisers, create more fake news, get even more people to click, get paid even more, rinse, repeat). ultimately he has to stop though, when his dad finds out, and, after butters meekly tries to defend himself with "well, i only did what russia does and i didn't really break any laws", he drags butters all the way to moscow, bursts into putin's office, and berates putin for being a bad example, before grounding both of them - and putin actually listens. now, the episode was more about facebook and focused more on mocking mark zuckerberg, but the putin scene at the end is still one of the most memorable things that ever happened on the show.
