And thus the final curtain falls on the adventures of david and the crew. Yeah, Edgerunners is a a bit of an emotional gut punch. But we should have known it from the start, tbh. As the saying goes "Always remember, in Night City there are no happy endings for anyone." If you were hoping for a better ending; well how did a certain punk rocker say: "Wrong city, wrong people." Still, I'm glad Trigger convinced CD Project Red to keep Rebecca in the show. I mean, could you imagine the show without her? Unlike so many others, she always stayed true to herself and was always there for those close to her. Even at the end, she knew damn well she was gonna die, but she was still willing to go all of the way regardless. Ain't get more loyal than that..... Anyways, after what smasher did to her, I'll always make it a point to take her shotgun with me to the final fight with smasher (for those unaware, in the game, if you go to memorial park in front of arasaka tower and look in the bushes underneath those holographic koi, you can find rebecca's shotgun, guts, laying on the ground). Johnny and rogue may have their reasons for wanting smasher dead, i have mine. I absolutely loved this show. Great animation, great characters, great writing. What more can you ask for? (Wish there's more I could add, but you did an excellent job breaking down the characters, their motivations and the themes of the show yourself. Not much left for me to add really.)
