It's interesting to see how after the time skip David turned into Maine, with him becoming the new defacto leader of the group and his overreliance on cybernetics and turning himself almost fully borg, and Rebecca turned into Pilar, with her new overly fancy cybernetic hands and performing dumb party tricks the same way he did back in episode 2. Even her unsuccessfully hitting on David sorta mimics Pilar's attempts at Lucy. Guess even if the people around us die, their influence on us always stays with us, wether we realize it or not.
