Realistically speaking Jailhouse Lock shouldn't just make a person's life hard, it should completely mentally fuck them considering the brain is constantly thinking and processing information. Sounds, Sights, Smells, Words, etc. If Jojo were completely logical anyone under the effect of Jailhouse Lock just shouldn't be able to function at all as they'd constantly be resetting nonstop in mere moments, so Araki needed to be a little loosey goosey with the rules to make this actually possible to navigate. He tends to do that a lot. Most notably here with the latter half of this fight, the eggs too. See, It's worth remembering that even at it's most logical Jojo's internal logic functions on "Rule of Cool", meaning that in this universe so long as something is impressive or shocking or badass that thing we call "realism" tends to just leave the room sometimes.
