About one bearded guy's speech. One could argue that a life threatening crisis had granted them all a perspective outside of their self perpetuating culture and made them realize that weaponizing hate was always going to bite them in the ass in the end, now that it finally has eyes are finally opening. One COULD argue all that...but frankly I don't buy it. Rotten people are two-faced and desperate people will gladly say anything to get their way. If The Rumbling stopped that second I can guarantee you everyone with a gun would turn on the Eldians and we'd see a genocide uno reverse card manuever. I can believe in change and people learning to let go of hate, but the idea that a person who only opens their eyes when forced to at gunpoint has anything of value to say is optimistic at best and outright idiotic at worst. Still though, I respect Armin for his consistency in wanting to be civil and level-headed, it shows a lot of maturity on his part and he's demonstrated these qualities ever since season 1, but if I were in his position I'd have joined up with ol' redhead (Floch) and the Jeargerists and watched The Rumbling with a bag of popcorn because outside of fiction where optimism like this is valuable people like Armin would be eaten alive by far less rational/honest people. Even if he doesn't want to call himself a good person, I can confidently say he's consistently been a voice of reason throughout the entirety of this show.
