so yeah, sry if I phrased that part a bit misleadingly in my original comment. I did indeed mean the story in the manga. however, as the anime is a (mostly) 1:1 adaptation of the manga, I didn't consider the need to differentiate between the two. I'll try to be a bit more precise next time. regardless, about the actual episode; oh boy this is the big one. where we learn about reiner's and berthold's true identity and their connection to annie. however, what is it they're planning and what is their true goal? only time will tell. though speaking from the perspective of someone who's already read the entire manga, there's a lot more foreshadowing than I realized on my first time through. finally, I'd highly recommend berserk for you to watch, it's one of the greatest stories ever put to paper and it really only has two negative points. first is that there isn't really a good anime adaptation. there is one from the 80s that's pretty good, but it basically ends with a huge cliff hanger right after what I'd consider the prologue of the story. they did release other adaptations later, but it's all pretty crappy early cgi, which doesn't really capture the brilliance of the original work. second is the author died a couple months back, leaving the story unfinished. still despite that, what was written is a masterpiece and still worth a read regardless.

Kuma, I love your delayed expression. My sister and I did the same thing, we missed what Reiner said the first time and then got confused when he explains he's the armored titan and Bertolt's the colossal, because he's talking so fucking calmly. Lol

Yeah I'm really excited to find out where this is going given how quickly the whole "who are those two titans?" has just been answered at the most unexpected time. Beserk has been mentioned a few times, HIGHLY RECOMMEND you vote for it when a slot becomes available and a new anime is being chosen. We are not far off from that given Assassination Classroom is almost done and we just finished Overlord.
