Update(s) (important ones!) and Preview (1 of 3) Post! Feb. 21st, 2023 (Patreon)

Hey Patrons, the long awaited GameCube Medley is nearing completion! Attached to this post is your first preview, this is the X-Naut Fortress (Paper Mario: TTYD) section.

As with past console medleys, I'll be posting two more previews for you along with this one. I should have both of those to you sometime tomorrow.

And as we've done with recently console medleys, I'll be holding a full first-listen Patreon stream for the GCN Medley when it's finished! This will likely be on Friday, no later than Saturday, but I'll let you know at least the day prior.

Not too bad! I still aim to have one more song out this month after the GameCube Medley. I haven't quite decided if it will be Rock Star or Determined Eyes, but those will for sure be the next two songs up after the medley. My goal is to have the GCN Medley up this weekend (Saturday, no later than Sunday), and the 4th song on the final day of February.

Only other thing to note from the to-do list: Project Peppermint. GCN Medley is (as predicted and planned for) taking up most of my time at the moment due to it's size, but once it's done, I'll be doing my best to finish up this top secret project by the end of next month. I'll keep you updated as always!

Now on to the so-called "important" stuff....

I've finally decided on a date for the upcoming public Youtube Q&A/News Live-Stream! 🥳

It will be taking placing this Friday, starting around 3:00 PM US Eastern Time.

(Just to note, if I do have the GCN Medley ready for a first-listen stream on Friday, I'll do it a little bit before the YT stream.)

I have a few important things to reveal, and since you all are Patrons, you get to know first.

First and foremost is something you already have: GaMetal XII. The 2023 compilation album will release publicly right before the stream starts on Friday. No surprises here for you all. 😅

The second thing is something I haven't confirmed yet:

The 2023 GaMetal Song Ballot is coming!

I figured since I'm doing a stream to announce XII's release, why not go ahead and get the song ballot going as well?

For anyone new around here (welcome and thank you!), the song ballot is an event we've done yearly since 2019 where we collect song requests from the general public (mostly the Youtube community), tally them up and take a look at the most requested songs at the current moment. The ballot has a pretty strong influence on a lot of my handpick and personal song choices throughout the year, second only to the Patreon Request List.

(I'd give you a count or even rough count of how many songs we've done that appeared in the ballots, but since there are literally thousands of one-vote songs... that'd sort of be cheating! So instead I'll just say, a great deal of songs that placed in the top 10 or so have been completed.)

And like always, since you're Patrons, you can get in a vote early if you'd like! The ballot is right over here. Be advised: unlike our Patron-only ballots (like the console medleys), this is a one shot deal, you can't go back and edit your entry. Vote wisely! 🙂

The results from the ballot will be revealed here on Patreon during the Patreon stream following the closing of the ballot. The ballot will close on March 31st, so the results will be revealed during April's Patreon stream.

And finally... one last thing that I haven't mentioned at all....

Nearly 100 Atmacoustics are on their way to streaming services!

Introducing Atmacoustics: Dawn Vol. 1 and Dusk Vol. 1, a collection of Atmacoustics made over the years that will soon be coming to streaming services (Spotify, iTunes/Apple Music, Amazon, etc)!

Did you know the Atmacoustics channel recently hit 10,000 subscribers? I thought this would be a really cool way to celebrate the milestone (alongside the previously released extra long Epilogue (Near the Border) Atmacoustic).

Each song loops for approximately 2-4 minutes (depending on length, averaging around 3). Most importantly, I've balanced the volumes on every track (along with some SLIGHT remastering on a few), so no more getting jump-scared by the random Atmacoustic that is 3 levels louder than the previous one.

Also important is how these albums are split up: the Dawn album contains more upbeat songs to get you ready to take on the day (ie: Flash in the Dark from Mega Man 9, Battle! Wally from Pokémon ORAS, etc), while the Dusk album has softer/more relaxing sounding songs (ie: Gateway Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy, Forest Interlude from DKC2, etc) to get you ready to wind down for the night... or relax and study to I suppose.

These should be available and ready sometime within the next few days, I'll let you know when they're up! I do plan on putting these up on the GaMetal BandCamp as well, and will be releasing them alongside XII before the stream.

Just to note: this isn't every Atmacoustic made, just most of the loopable ones I could get licensing for at the moment, which came to a total of 98 tracks. (There was supposed to be a little over 100, but I had a few rejections. 🥲). Maybe I'll release the others on their own on BandCamp sometime and call it Twilight or something, haha.

And I do plan on releasing future eligible Atmacoustics in the same way! Likely not in 40+ song albums like these two, maybe when I can get around 10 or so per album.
