Good evening Patrons!

This past Friday, I started the first step to my transition to full time: I put in my two-week notice at work. This all feels so surreal to me and I still can't emphasize how thankful I am for all of you for making this possible. 2017 is going to be the best year for GaMetal ever!

I'm also happy to say my wife and I have found a house to move into and will be moving out in the middle of the month (in about a week in a half) to be exact. No more apartment/townhouse! This is a key achievement because moving into a house means I'll be able to record vocals and drums and other loud stuff (like acoustic guitars) at any time without disturbing the people that live on the other side of the walls.

I didn't get a whole lot done this week since most of it was dealing with searching for a house to rent and doing some light packing, but now that most of the hard stuff is out of the way and we're just waiting for the move-in day to come at this point, I'll be able to get a lot done this week, including getting some new acoustic shorts up and of course getting the next song, Dialga's Fight to the Finish!, complete. You can expect Dialga to be ready to go this weekend, hopefully around Friday or Saturday at the latest.

Also, I've determined the date/time of the next live stream where I'll publicly reveal the transition to full-time and make some other cool announcements. This will be on November 30th at around 6:00 PM Central USA time. Like last time, it will be via Youtube. I'll announce the date/time to everyone at the end of the Dialga video.

With the transition to full-time, I'm going to be making a hard push on my Patreon campaign, so I'm going to spend a lot more time than I did in the last live-stream talking about Patreon and attempting to get some new people on board (whereas last time I kept it sort of minimal). I'm running through some promotional ideas in my head at the moment (something like, maybe we'll random-draw 2-3 request list songs in January/February to come out the first couple of months of the year) but I haven't really solidified anything yet.

Of course I'll also mention the upcoming Patreon Album, which I'm still predicting will be complete for you all late December/early January and publically released a month afterwards. I'll have a better idea towards the end of this month once I'm moved out and stuff.

In other news: I'm going to ahead and reveal the second song for this month...

To be more precise, the normal Bowser Battle Theme from Super Mario 64! (Koopa's Theme is the official title).

I mentioned this was a personal choice because it's not really a highly requested song or anything. I've had it stuck in my head lately, have always wanted to do a full version (this was in the 2009 GaMetal song 'Bowser Medley'),  and realized we haven't had a Bowser song this year which I just can't allow. Plus most people like SM64 music so I think it'll be a great song to do. :)

So the current November lineup is Dialga's Fight to the Finish, Koopa's Theme, and the latest request list drawing winner TMNT 2 Arcade: Streets of NY.

In the next update post, I'm going to reveal a December song. It's gonna be a big one that's gonna involve everybody from here and Youtube, so keep your eyes out.

Thank you all for your ongoing support, I'm super excited about the what's to come and I hope you are too!

hope we'l get a small section of the song where it's the final bowser battle, this music is so epic! Great choice anyway! Awesome news for the new house too, even more quality content is coming!

X-hog

I concur. Both bowser and final bowser themes would be cool.

Chafe

Lot of turtles coming up, huh. Congratulations on the house! You had some really nice vocals for Dancing Mad so I'd love to see some more stuff like that from you.

Kzinssie

Ha, I finally get my credit card worked out and come back to you doing a Primal Dialga cover. Awesome!

Quick question. Why choose streaming on Youtube and not Twitch? I think it would be a better idea to stream on twitch so it'll push your gaming channel too so more people come and join your smash rounds. If you are afraid of not following Twitch's guidelines, just know that there are non-gaming related streams, and you can do them too. I'm pretty sure it could fall into a Creative category. Heck, in the creative category, you could perform your songs live on Twitch no issues. It doesn't get to be games games games games. Cheers and congrats again Jonny!

Just for simplicity, my YT subscriber count absolutely dwarfs my follow count on Twitch, and even if I did the thing I've seen people do where they stream a screen saying 'I'm live on Twitch!' on Youtube, not everyone has a Twitch account and not everyone will want to sign up for one to talk in the chat. I'll definitely do something on the creative portion of Twitch eventually but for now I'll be keeping the livestream Q&A/announcement stuff on Youtube. :)

Avarik

I didn't even know you have a Twitch account. O:

Me neither, but my computer can't handle Twitch anyway. Youtube doesn't lag NEAR as much.

Congratulations on both the job transition and on finding a house! I know you've included vocal tracks in some GaMetal songs before, like the Sonic Fan Medley, but have you trained your voice much in the past to do vocals for your music? It'll be interesting to see if your followers and Patrons suggest more vocal songs for GaMetal if/when you start recording vocals. Keep up the great work, and once again, congratulations!

Bolaum

I honestly prefer Youtube, I hate Twitch because I have to keep buffering every 20 seconds.

I'm actually going to do a full version of Ultimate Koopa next year so I'll be saving it for that :)

is this where I submit the songs?
