Hey Patrons!

I've been taking it easy the past few days just to recharge my creative batteries, working on some acoustic shorts (should have a few more up later) and such.

Things have been going great here on Patreon! We're getting really close to that Patreon Album goal, we were REALLY close before but a lot of declined cards at the beginning of this month dropped us back down a bit, but that's ok. Whenever that goal is reached, I'll post all the details on how it's going to work.

So as we know, the upcoming song will be the last request list drawing winner Their Own Brand of Justice from Etrian Odyssey III. I've also decided on the third song for this month. Drum roll please....

The runner up from the SNES Medley Poll and also a highly requested song in general, and it's also on the Patreon request list! Seems like Ken's Theme is a solid idea to me. xD

May is coming up, and that means GaMetal May Madness is coming! If you weren't around last year, I released 7 songs, all remakes of very old GaMetal covers, in a span of about 2 weeks (one upload every 2 days, started with Battle With Magus and ended with Final Fantasy I-VI Battle Medley). I plan on doing the same this May, so please set your monthly limits if you haven't done so, I don't want to break you or end up having your card get declined at the end of the month. :P

This May I might do things a little differently. Alongside doing a bunch of remakes, I might also release a couple of new songs as well. I'm probably going to go with something highly requested, and maybe also hand-pick something from the request list.

So without further ado, here are just a few (not all!) of the songs I'm confirming for May!

Stage 4-2 from the original NES Ninja Gaiden, this classic 2011 GaMetal song was pretty popular, for some reason, among drummers. There's even a few drum covers of the GaMetal version out there if you look for them. Expect a lot of drum shots in the video. xD

Aside from The Legend of Mario, I did no Zelda songs last year. That's a crime. I've also got another Zelda song planned really soon so we'll be restocking our heart containers in 2016. Also, this was supposed to be part of May Madness last year but I ended up cutting it. Not this time!

A highly requested song (most people don't realize I did this one back in 2010), one of my favorites from the SF64 soundtrack and also on the Patreon Request List. I'll probably opt out of doing the Assault version this time around and go straight for the throat and slay the 64 version.

With an actual remake coming up, and Cloud's recent inclusion in Smash, the already super-popular FF7 has seen some resurgence lately and I've been seeing more FF7 requests as a result. I actually really liked the arrangement I did in 2010 and I think it could really benefit from a makeover.

That's just a bit of what we'll be seeing in May. I'll be working pretty much non stop this month on getting these songs ready (even took a week off work at the end of the month), so I'll probably be confirming the rest of the songs towards the end of the April.

Hopefully you're as excited as I am about the next 2 months, See you in the next post!

Oh dude, I can't wait for the revamped Star Wolf! I didn't really care too much for the Assault portion in your original cover, so I'm glad you're focusing on the N64 version this time! As for other songs, I'd say that your RBY Trainer Battle really needs the remake treatment. I really like the arrangement, but it sounds pretty dated, especially compared to your new stuff! Same goes for your Green Hill Zone! I think that the arrangement is fantastic, but it could definitely use a touch up!

I was listening to your Basilisk minefield about 34 minutes ago and grooving like an asshole while driving home, So seeing this update was just amazing ^^ And if one song needs a remake this May madness it's definitely Tecmo world wrestling (Yes you read that right) I simply love that song :D

My vote for the remake hits Attack of the Koopa Bros. it's definitely a title that could use some love now considering your improvements in the years. I do still love the solo you put in the original though.

Hell yes! I bet you can slay the N64 version! Not many cover the Assault version so I'm really looking forward to it

"Attack of the Koopa Bros." is my absolute favorite song from 2011, especially because the bass, drums, and guitar get their own solos. I'd LOVE to see you give it a makeover!

Gersub

but don't do the same s*hit as with flying battery zone where you just leave out the best part

TIME FOR ANOTHER GRABBAG COVER

MMG Mike

I think Attack of The Koopa Bros definitely needs a make over for sure one of your best tracks ever

Lebon14

Big Bowser, Bury My Shell At Wounded Knee, a drum n bass-less Stickerbush Symphony, a Jonny-sung vocal ver of Zero-Two?, Shinra Corporation (love it or not, I do!), etc! (I know I'm late) EDIT Oh and Teris A from 2009. I mean come on, this deserves better despite being done to death. Oh and Pokemon RBY Trainer Battle.

I just added a monthly limit to my pledge - will that modify my reward since I pledged at the $3 level before the request list got pushed up the tiers?
