Update Post!! June 3rd (Patreon)

Good evening/morning/afternoon Patrons, it's time for something we haven't had in a little bit: a full update post. Let's get to it!

Patreon is adding sales tax to some areas soon

I hate to open up the update post with some sour news, but several areas are about to enforce sales tax on Patreon pledges, starting on July 1st (which also happens to be my birthday, of all days.. blah). This is something being enforced by law, so it's not really something Patreon just decided to do for profits or anything like that. The amount (if any at all) will vary depending on the area you live in, and Patreon has provided a full list of the areas that will be effected here, as well as a lot more general info about the whole ordeal.

That said, if you need to adjust your Patreon pledges in any way to accommodate for this change, I strongly encourage you to do so over at your 'Pledges' page. Remember that on 'per creation' Patreons such as mine, you can set a monthly limit for how often you are charged. As I always say when I bring up checking your pledge limits: I only want you to pledge for an amount (and amount of times) that you both want to and can comfortably afford. Even if you're doing $1, one time a month, it all helps and I greatly appreciate you! And even if you're going through something and have to cancel your pledge for whatever reason (and I know COVID-19 has given several people an understandable reason), I'm still greatly appreciative of what you've done to help myself and GaMetal, and I'm still thrilled to have you as a fan and GaMetal community member, on or off Patreon.

Before I get to the current to-do list, let me thank you all for helping to fuel the GaMetal fire that lead to the biggest May Madness to date, with a grand total of nine songs! The GaMetal community is what inspires me to create most, so I couldn't have done it without you all.

There's still one remake to go: the Main Theme from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I had recently mentioned getting it up before the next stream on the 5th (little bit more on that in a second), but I'm going to take just a few more days to make it extra special. It should be done and up by the end of the weekend.

Aside from that, now that May Madness is out of the way, the next big project I'm focusing on is completion of the Side-Quests: Volume 3 album. My goal is to have this finished between August-October. Reminder that the song list can be found near the bottom of the current Patreon Request List post (which I will have updated tomorrow, by the way).

Acoustic shorts / Atmacoustics will be returning this month. May Madness took up most of my time last month, but it's about time to turn the acoustic short dial up to 10 and pay off some of this debt that I owe you Tier 5+s.

And of course, it's once again back to cutting down our big ol' to-do list! Which is now:

I'm aiming to get 4-5 songs done per month, so I'm expecting this to look a lot cleaner by the time we hit Patreon Appreciation Month in August.

And finally, our next Patreon Stream will be taking place at our usual date and time: June 5th, starting around 3:00 PM US Central Time. This should also be, assuming I don't get another strike out of no where, our last Patron stream on the top secret Twitch Channel, as my strike is set to be lifted on June 16th.
