GaMetal May Madness continues with the return of Sandopolis Zone from Sonic & Knuckles!

I first did this song back in 2011, and, like the last 2 songs, I've been putting off remaking it year after year. A variety of Sonic songs tend to get voted into May Madness contention, so I wanted to go ahead and get this one done. It's also a personal favorite of mine so perhaps I'm just a tad bias!

I first remixed this one in 2011, and I've been getting requests to remake it for May for several years. If not for Escape from the City having such a high amount of votes last year, Sandopolis would have taken its place. Well not this time! This has always been a personal favorite Sonic song of mine. For a Sonic song, it's rather slow, but still has a really cool melody, and that's what has always made it stand out to me.
