Update + Stream Recap Post! January 5th (Patreon)

Hey Patrons! This is both of a general update post as well as a recap post.

First a quick recap of today's stream winner:

Confronting Myself from Celeste, from the list of Anthony Ryan Wolverton! This is a decently popular song request overall, and the Celeste song that I see requested the most, by far.

And for this month's handpicked request list choice, I'm going with:

K. Rool Duel from Donkey Kong 64, from the list of Brian Cunningham! I really wanted to put this song into the Nintendo 64 Medley, but it was too long. This game was probably the most mentioned of the games that didn't make the cut for the medley, so we're going to make up for it with this one!

And now, for the update portion of this post:

Happy New Year! I hope your first week of 2020 has been amazing so far. I have a really great feeling about this year, and after taking a break for a few days (Void was tiring as heck, but worth it!), I'm pumped to get back to work on more GaMetal and all the awesome things that are to come this year.

With the request list songs mentioned above, our to-do list is now:

My goal is to have all of the songs that were drawn in 2019 finished by the end of February, but no later than March. After that, I will be working on the songs that we've been drawing this year as well as the Side-Quests Volume 3 album songs, as well as preparing for things like May Madness and other special things (IE: April Fools Special).

I will be holding another Youtube News / Q&A Live Stream this month. I'm unable to confirm the date just yet, but it should happen sometime around mid-late this month (around the 20th). I'm waiting on the shipment of GaMetal Album Physicals to arrive, as those being available for purchase will be a part of the news portion of the stream. The physicals are estimated to be finished and arrive around January 15th-21st. I will keep you all updated on the confirmed date and time (time is most likely going to be 3:00 PM US Central, as usual) as soon as I know.

Another important part of this stream will be the official public release of the 2020 GaMetal Song Ballot. I wanted to do this after The World Revolving releases, as it was the 2nd most popular request from last year and I didn't want it to unnecessarily show back up on the ballot (not everyone looks at the end card teasers, haha). Like last year, everyone both Patron and Non-Patron will be invited to enter a song on the ballot.

The last important bit of news for this stream will be the official release of GaMetal IX! I spent yesterday and will spend the rest of tonight working on the bonus tracks for this year's compilation album. I've got some good ones for you this year. :O

Also, like years prior, all Patrons are invited to submit song name ideas for the BandCamp release of the album. I'll be choosing these soon, so be sure to drop any name ideas you might have over on our official GaMetal IX Naming Document here.

The GaMetal IX album will be up for download for you all here on Patreon as soon as I have everything together and finished, which should hopefully be around the middle of the month. For everyone else, it will release during the next Q&A/News Live-Stream.
