Hey Patrons!

Here's the last song for the month and yet ANOTHER from the request list: Save the World from Final Fantasy Legend II, or Saga 2: Hihō Densetsu, whichever you prefer. 

This is a really awesome song and might be one of my favorites from this year so far.

August is officially in the books... now comes September and the mysterious 100k subscriber special. What will it be? Only time will tell!

I'll have an update post for you all soon. Also, as always, the next Request List Drawing Stream will be on September 5th at around 2:00 PM US Central Time.

We're finishing off our week of classic JRPG tunes with one of the most intense Game Boy songs around: Save the World from Final Fantasy Legend II / SaGa 2: Hihō Densetsu! This song is easily in my top 3 favorite Game Boy tunes. I don't think I've ever heard any other GB song match the sort of intensity it has. It also just straight up made awesome use of the very limited GB sound chip. Next up: the 100,000 subscriber special! What'll it be? I was *so* on the fence about putting a FFL2 song in my suggestions. I wanted to hold out for a GB Medley (if and when it came, and it did!) I feel dumb for not immediately suggesting a song from it. It was the first game that I ever personally owned and while the janky game mechanics were real frustrating for me when I couldn't understand anything as a kid, the music was so damn good. I'm glad that Lethal Strike made it to the GB Medley as well. Now all we need is 'Struggle To The Death' to complete the battle theme trinity!

I've been waiting for this. I was curious when this song was swapped out for another from my request list in a recent poll, but it was great to hear that it was hand-picked instead. I have fond memories of all the music from this game after picking it up at a yard sale as a kid. Great cover as always. Thanks!
