Hey Patrons!

As I mentioned in my last update post, today I'm putting up the entry form  for the NES Medley and Game Boy Medley drawings, plus the Q&A video question submission for you all. You can access the form here

Just to give a brief overview of the entry rules for NES and GB Medley:

NES Medley

  • Song must appear on any NES game. It does not have to originate on the NES, just appear on a game from it. (IE: Green Greens from NES Medley #3 originated on the Game Boy game Kirby's Dream Land, but appeared briefly in the NES game Kirby's Adventure.)
  • Song must not have appeared on a previous GaMetal NES Medley. There's like 50+ of these, so I suggest reading up on some of the song pages for the older ones at JonnyAtma.com if you need to.

Game Boy Medley

  • Like above, the song must appear on a Game Boy or Game Boy Color title, but doesn't have to originate on it.
  • We're only doing Game Boy and Game Boy Color this time around, so no Game Boy Advance songs. I felt like adding GBA games to lineup would've added far too many options, so we'll save that for some other medley (maybe even it's own).

I've set it so that you can edit your form at any time before the 5th. You can also view all previous responses after submitting. Regardless, I'll post the full list of NES and GB entries on Sunday morning, along with the normal request list entries.

Good luck! :D

Edit:
I forgot to mention the rule I incorporated last year: Patrons on Tier 6 (this would be HarDe, Kishoro, and Andrew Eddy) will be allowed 2 medley entries for both NES Medley and Game Boy Medley,  but in the interest of fairness, will only be allowed to win one time per medley. IE: if I drew both of their entries for NES Medley, we'd only go with the first one drawn. :)

I saw someone else is a tuba player in here haha. I've been playing since 6th grade and still do! #TubaLife

For the Game Boy song my first instinct was to recommend Rival Battle from Pokémon GSC, or Mt. Tamaranch from Link's Awakening (Tal Tal Heights was an Atmacoustic in 2018 already), but I assume these are going to be popular requests from other people so I decided to go a bit less mainstream with Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge - Chromatische Phantasie -- I would love to see Jonny's take on this classical J.S.Bach composition ;)

NES was easy: City Lights from SF2010 is still perfect for a medley. Game Boy, though... had to actually think about this; ended up with Holy Ruins from FFL3 (The Talon is short and boring and you know it. :< )

Don't you dare speak about muh Talon this way! xD Just kidding, great choices! Especially City Lights.

Man, picking the NES entry was hard. I eventually went with a bit of a wildcard and just said anything from Wizards and Warriors, but I was REALLY tempted to request the graveyard from Mappy Land. Next time, maybe. (Or Wood Man, for that matter, but that'll wait for the next Mega Medley, I'm sure.) The GB one was super easy, though, given that my current entry for the regular monthly drawing is already from a GB game: Magi-Nation title screen. So good.

Superscope

Replied. Wicked Child - Castlevania for the NES. For the GB however I requested my monthly pic since it's from a GB game, Frieza Battle from Dragon Ball Z: Goku Gekitouden. It's a very addictive tune and rather complex for the system at times.
