Update Post! April 4th (Patreon)

Good morning/afternoon/evening Patrons! I've got a rather lengthy update post for you all today.

----Dreamland Invasion---

With 2 videos remaining, the Dreamland Invasion event is almost over, and it has undoubtedly been a rousing success for the channel. We've gone up another 1500 subscribers in about a week and are setting new 30 day subscriber counts daily, currently nearing 3500 and climbing. I wouldn't be surprised if it reaches over 4500 by the end of the month!

Marx / Heart of Nova is the current 'winner' of the album, already nearing 50k views in a matter of 4 days. I didn't realize this until I was collecting comments for the video intro, but this was an extremely high-request song, perhaps even more so than past top requests like Megalovania or Star Dream. Let's see if Moonstruck or possibly even Money Machine can beat it. xD

Yesterday, I submitted/paid for all of the Dreamland Invasion mechanical licenses (with the exception of the Kirby's Adventure Medley which has too many songs to get licensing for :/ ), so they'll be available on Spotify/iTunes in a couple of weeks or so.

Before that, the album will be made publicly available for free download on the GaMetal Bandcamp page, coinciding with a Q&A Live-Stream to help promote the release. This will most likely take place on Monday afternoon (April 9th). I'll confirm the date/time with everyone at least a day before.

Lastly on the topic of Dreamland Invasion, I've decided to go the distance and get 300 physical copies made. The mere mention of it at the end of the teaser trailer has led to several people asking about how to get one, so I've decided to go this route. Because of this, I will have to save up a little bit more, but I will have enough to get them all made by the beginning of next month.

All Patrons on Tier 5 or higher that made a successful pledge last month or this month will receive a free copy, and I'll also be giving away free copies in future drawings both here and on Youtube. The rest will be made for sale at production and shipping only costs, which I'd estimate at around $5 for those in the US and $8 for those outside. I'll keep you all updated on this matter in future posts!

---Patreon Stuff---

I have a lot to do, haha.

First off, I know I say this all the time, but I really can't thank you all enough for your support. Whether you're a top tier Patron pledging for every single song, or a Tier 1 Patron pledging for one song a month, every little bit counts and everything you all do has led to me being able to work on GaMetal full time and bring you all so much new material. Last year I was able to bring you over 50 new songs, and this year it's looking like I'll be able to do over 60. I've been able to fulfill over 60 Patreon requests, and like I mentioned at the top of the current request list post, we'll most likely be near the 100 fulfilled requests mark by the end of the year. That's like 10 albums worth of songs!

We've also continued to reach new milestone goals on Patreon almost every month, and you guys have really been raking in the additional request list drawings as a result. At the very end of last month we did reach the 1160 milestone goal for an additional drawing this month. We dropped back below it at the beginning of April and are still currently $10 shy of re-reaching it, but since we're close enough I'm going to go ahead and do an additional drawing for you all this month any way. So there will be 2 request list drawings in our upcoming drawing stream!

Our next drawing will take place tomorrow, April 5th, at around 3:00 US Central Time. A link to the stream will be posted here on Patreon about 10 minutes before I go live. I'll be updating the current request list today and will have the current entry list up tonight, so for those on the request list tier wanting to make changes or needing to add your list, remember to comment on that post!

And before you think I forgot, I'm aware I didn't make a hand-pick choice last month, so I'll go ahead and do that now. I figured I'd add one of the most intense Gameboy songs to the to-do list:

My hand-picked request list choice for March is Save the World from Final Fantasy Legend II (or SaGa 2, take your pick) for Zaerisk!

A bit on the obscure side, but it's one of the most badass Gameboy songs I've heard. Listen to it sometime. :)

Along with this, we'll also have the 2 drawing winners and a hand-picked song for this month to add to the list. So the list is piling up a little bit again, but here's my current plan: after the Dreamland Invasion videos are finished, I'm going to spend the rest of April knocking out as much of the to-do list as I can. Some songs will most likely spill into May Madness. Last year we had a breakdown of 3 new songs and 4 remakes in May, so I'll be shooting for the same this year. Whatever songs I don't get to that are currently on the to-do list (including this month and next month's drawing winners) I'll attempt to finish up in June. Then we should be back on track with a clean slate in July so I can start working on the Side-Quests 2 Album and prepare for Patreon Appreciation Month in August.

I'm also back to playing catch up on Acoustic shorts / Atmacoustics. My current plan there is to dedicate 1 or 2 days a week to doing nothing but recording acoustic shorts for those I owe it to, so expect some days where I dump a bunch of new acoustic stuff on you.

It's going to be an absolutely jam-packed few months, so as I always say during months like these, please make sure your Patreon monthly limits are set accordingly! I greatly appreciate everything you all contribute, but I don't want to break your banks either. I don't expect anyone to pay for more than 1 to 3, 4 songs tops, per month, especially those on the higher tiers. I encourage you to only pledge what you want and are comfortable with pledging!
